Nice upgrade
This was a replacement for an older model that I can’t find after a move. The dual beams give you a bigger area comparison and averaged together to give more accurate results. Personally I didn’t like the IR on as it is hard to know for sure exactly what you are on target of. Gun feels fairly solid and is lightweight. Not sure how it would hold up after a decent size drop. Trigger feel is good and temperature is reported fast. I don’t have a problem with the unit continuing to measure temperature after trigger was released like reported a few places online. Would be nice to have a storage bag but I guess for the price I can’t complain. I would buy again.

Accurate
I use this infrared thermometer for my pet’s terrarium. It gives me the accurate temperature on a certain spot of my terrarium and allows me to make adjustments to the thermostat. Easy plug and play, put the batteries in and make sure you select the correct units of measurement. Bonus points for including a laser pointer for a targeted reading.

Seems accurate
Nice little thermometer. It is about as accurate as expected. Maybe a couple degrees off here and there but I’m not that picky so I like it.

Pull Trigger & Read Temp
This is accurate when held within 12-15 inches of the cooking surface. However, it does not have either an "on/off" switch or a "reset" button. You just hold the trigger each time you aim at the cooking surface.

Works well, bought a Blackstone and was not sure what the temps were in different areas of the griddle.

Why Not be Precise
Bring your cooking up a notch. No more guess work when heating you pans. 2 seconds, done!Many other uses also. How hot it the asphalt on your driveway? Does water really freeze at 32°? What temp does ice cream melt? The possibilities are endless, and yes, your dog or cat will chase the red dot.

Temperature laser works great on Blackstone grill. Give more accurate temperature than guessing

Seems to work great, Takes a bit to make sure you aim the same places each time or you will get different readings, Overall I feel it’s very accurate and works well. Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to tighten up their griddle game
