Solid choice for this type of gadget
I needed to throw an HDMI signal (standard 1080p 60Hz) across the house. I also wanted to be able to monitor the image locally at the source, so that I wouldn't have to walk across the house to check on the image and sound. Enter this set of gadgets. I've used Orei products before (their HDMI splitters are REALLY nice and rock-solid) so I chose this product with some confidence. I was not disappointed. These worked exactly as described, throwing the signal cleanly to the destination. The local HDMI loop out worked just fine. The RF Blaster transmitter and receiver units worked very well too, which made remote control of the source very simple. In all, everything worked precisely as it should and held up solidly for a session that lasted MANY hours (probably about 5 or 6 hours of continuous operation). These Orei boxes barely got warm. I couldn't be more pleased with the performance of this product, and the price is mind-boggling cheap.Notes:Cat-5e and Cat-6 cables are slightly different internally. You will get longer range from a Cat-6 cable than a Cat-5e cable. Unless you're using existing Cat-5e for whatever reason, I'd recommend procuring a well-made Cat-6 cable to go with this Orei product. You'll get the maximum transmission range with Cat-6 cable.According to the manual that came with this product, Cat-5e range for 1080p 60Hz signal is 197ft maximum and Cat-6 range for 1080p 60 Hz signal is 230ft. The ranges for a 4K 30Hz signal are 115ft for Cat-5e and 131ft for Cat-6.An odd quirk: the local HDMI loop out didn't work for me until I plugged in the receiver at the other end of the Cat-6 cable I used. It seems you HAVE to connect the transmitter and receiver together in order to see anything on the HDMI loop out. Not a problem at all, but kind of odd. Just needs to be kept in mind when setting up.Finally, this product is powered from the transmitter end only. You do not need to power the receiver (in fact the receiver doesn't even have a power port). This is nice - some products of this type require power on both ends but this one does not. Makes for simpler installation/deployment.

Great for Gaming! Zero Latency. Full HDMI 18Gbps Bandwidth, HDR10+, Dolby Vision/Atmos
I recently purchased this to be able to play my game consoles in our living room on another floor of the house without disconnecting and moving them wired into my stream capture PC and switchers. This extender works amazingly well for gaming. There is zero lag, full RGB color space support, full HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, Dolby Atmos, Digital and DTS support, tested the Xbox Series X and PS4 Pro, 4K 60FPS works flawlessly with no color degredation at all, no color banding, etc. I've been waiting for a product like this for years. Other competitors I looked at do not offer all of the passthrough compatibility options and support that this device does, especially for the price. As you can see from the pictures, it's very impressive. You cannot see one pixel of difference in quality from having the console hooked directly up to HDMI vs using this extender, and I'm using this on a 65" QLED HDR10+ display. This device will also pass through IR commands and comes with a wired transmitter and receiver, so I can control my Onkyo receiver, which also acts as my HDMI switcher, from the living room using it's remote. It also works with CEC controls, so it will pass through and connect CEC-compatible devices as if they are directly plugged into your TV, Receiver, etc. It works because I've also tested this. You only need to plug the power adapter into one device. It will pass through power using POE to the other device, so you can plug the adapter into either the transmitter or receiver, and it will power both devices. I have mine plugged into the transmitter, going through a combination of CAT5e/CAT6 cabling down to the living room. NOTE: this unit needs a direct ethernet connection, so you cannot pass it through a switch/router/hub, etc. It is not IP-based, which means there is no latency issues since it's basically using your ethernet cable as a HDMI cable. This is a great product for gamers. As usual, OREI created a superior product, which is why I go to them first purchasing any AV connection management devices.

Worked Flawlessly for Me
I found this easy to install using CAT-6 wire. I have a large office and conference area. My 70" presentation TV is 20 feet away from my desk. We ran the CAT-6 wire through the walls and behind the TV - about 50' of wire. We connected the HDMI transmitter and receiver to each end. Easy to set up, worked immediately and continues to work months later with no hiccups whatsoever. Sound and video works flawlessly. Now, I can display from my computer and even bring my wireless keyboard and mouse to the conference table and use the TV as a big monitor or run my presentations from there.

Room with a Remote View
I needed this product to relay the HDMI video from a security NVR located in the attic to the main TV in the living room some 100' away by cable. The customer can now view his native security camera feed on his big screen by changing TV inputs. Used it in 4K mode with very pleasing results. Power is only needed on one side for the transmitter/receiver to work which helps reduce wire clutter. The image is crisp and the connection is reliable. I will be using this affordable product for future projects. I would highly recommend this product
