They are plastic. Of course they aren't invincible to damage. But, I've purchased a lot of portion containers over the years and these are my favourite. They are thicker and more durable than any other containers I've purchased. I would absolutely recommend these.

Stands up to constant use. Always clean from dishwasher. So reasonable to buy. Have the super expensive Brilliance things — gotta say these are simpler + easier + way cheaper = better.

A couple lids were broken plus it said 30 only got 24 and 25 lids. Count when you get them. Plus they are white not black
