These are small square pieces that are easy to break in half, which is what I do to feed each of my 2 mystery snails. The snails seem to enjoy them, and occasionally my shrimp and fish nibble at them too. I haven't had any issues with my snails' shells, and I'd like to think that this is contributing to their shell health. This doesn't seem to affect water quality and is a pretty large supply for the 2 snails I have, so I imagine it will last a long time.

The shrimp and snails love these calcium squares I drop them down the feeding tube and it ends up turning into a tank frenzy haven't had any issues with failed molts my snails have beautiful shells no cracks no erosion and they're breathing always a good sign but my opinion it's a great product it does not cloud the water whatsoever once they dissolve that's it and the good thing is you just put calcium in your water because your plants actually need calcium as well so factoring that in they got a customer for life with me I pretty much bought all of their products on that line and they're all great

I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I tried the Katsaquatics Calcium + Protein bites, but the reaction in my tanks completely sold me. The moment I dropped one in, my loaches, platies, and shrimp went absolutely wild for it. I’ve never seen them respond so fast to a food before. In my glass bellied guppy and shrimp tank, an Amano shrimp literally grabbed the bite and walked away with it like a prize, which was both hilarious and reassuring. While these are clearly designed to support shrimp and snails with calcium and protein, it’s obvious that the ingredients are very appealing to other tank inhabitants as well. Everything went after it immediately. I’m mainly using these as a supplement, not because my shrimp or snails are struggling, but to give them some extra nutritional benefits and support healthy growth and molting. Based on how well it was received, I feel confident it’s doing exactly what it’s meant to do. Overall, I’m extremely impressed and will definitely continue using these a few times a week. Watching the feeding frenzy alone makes it worth it.

My mystery snails LOVE these. Instructions say to remove anything leftover after 12 hours but there is never anything left to remove. I'm satisfied knowing I'm giving them something healthy and a little extra support for their diet. The pieces are small squares and are easy to break apart, they sink to the bottom quickly. Im not sure how long they would take to dissolve if left beyond 12 hours as my snails eat them right up. Price is very reasonable I think 1 jar will last quite awhile if I'm only giving them this as a supplement every few days

I had read before that most shrimp and snails don’t get enough calcium in their diets, so I was happy to find this food for them. I’m raising baby mystery snails, so adequate calcium intake is especially important for them to develop strong, healthy shells. It turns out that this food apparently is also the best thing they’ve ever eaten! Everybody likes it. The baby snails are always on it within thirty seconds of me dropping it in their little tank, which is pretty impressive for tiny slow moving creatures. As you can see in the video, the shrimp are immediately on it and there’s usually at least one tug-of-war game going on with the amano shrimp. Even Diva the hillstream loach seems to like them, waiting semi-patiently on the rock for her turn. I like that this food comes with different size pieces so it’s easier to feed exactly the right amount for each species. At first I wasn’t sure about buying this food since the price seemed a little high for a small jar, but I’m glad I did. I’ve now had that small jar for several weeks and it’s still more than 3/4 full. I think it’s going to last me a long time yet. I’ll likely be ordering the other flavor/formulation of this stuff soon as well.

Good value if you’re buying. Good color, quality, and good for my shrimp and snails to eat as a supplement.

My snail LOVES these calcium tabs! I feel good knowing my Mystery snail is getting extra calcium! I appreciate the portion size too!

These are messy and a little too expensive. Some of my snails like them, others wait for an algae wafer. I assume they'd eventually eat it if I pushed it but I haven't. They get kinda messy and gross looking after a few hours, before everyone has had a chance to take a bite. I wasn't expecting that. They seemed less messy than traditional wafers and they are but not by much. I think I'll try the picky eaters version next. The one I'd wanted was out of stock. They're usable though and will probably last quite a while. My platys on the other hand, they love them. They'll eat literally anything though lol
