These guys are great songwriters. Well crafted hooks but still have some street credibility. If you like the Descendants or have other All albums, you pretty much know what you're getting here. In some ways, this record is more pop than some of their other stuff, but songs like Uncle Critic are pretty harsh and keep the whole album balanced. Best part about this, other than the songs themselves, is the performances, which make you think of real bands who played music together, not something that was pieced together in the studio. The feeling here is that these guys got in a room, hit record, and played really loud. To me, this is one of the better All albums as a whole.

The BEST Chad Price era ALL record. Total classic crunchy-chord pop-punk. WHY the hell is this out of print, anyway?!? This record (CD) is worth any money it's being sold for. Top 3: 1) Allroy's Revenge 2) Pummel 3) Mass Nerder

I was excited to see a vinyl copy of this available, I originally bought this on CD in the Mid 90's and even got it signed when I met the band, they were telling about how they were trying to the rights back from Interscope Records. ( no idea if they achieved it ). Amazing guys , Awesome Band, Fantastic Album.

Con questo album, gli All sono pubblicati per la prima (e ultima) volta da una major label, la Interscope. A livello compositivo le canzoni sono in linea con lo stile del gruppo, 15 pezzi di pop-punk molto concisi, orecchiabili e intensi, su tutti spicca "Long Distance" (a torto ritenuta simile a "She's my ex") e "Breakin'up", in chiusura la cupa "Black Sky". Di buon livello anche i testi, dove spicca tra gli argomenti ricorrenti la dolorosa chiusura di relazioni sentimentali. Come risaputo, gli All sono i Descendents con un altro cantante; qui alla voce c'è Chad Price. Tra i fan si dibatte su chi sia il migliore tra i vocalist che si sono alternati durante la carriera degli All (Dave Smalley, Scott Reynolds e Chad Price). A nostro avviso la voce di Chad è potente e intensa, assolutamente adatta ai pezzi, ci sono dei bootleg di demo dove egli canta canzoni poi finite negli album dei Descendents (che ricordo essere in sostanza lo stesso gruppo) e tiene tranquillamente testa al loro vocalist ufficiale Milo Auckerman. In definitiva, una delle migliori prove degli All, che i questo album sono in ottima forma con uno dei migliori cantanti entrati nella loro formazione.

Die Band selbst durch das Meisterwerk MASS NERDER kennen gelernt, welches ein paar Jahre später erschien. Dieses Album von 1995 ist vielleicht nicht mit ganz so vielen Hits bestückt, ein paar echte Kracher enthält es aber allemal. Allen voran die wütende Outlaw-Hymne BROKEN. Insgesamt ein stimmiges, gut produziertes Punkalbum.
