Holmes Carbon HAPF60, Filter C, Black, 4 Pack

I have several HEPA air purifiers in my home. They run 24/7/365. I used to buy these from a large retail store in my area. Sometimes they would have them and sometimes not which would put me into a treasure hunt mode of looking at other retailers. I finally was smart about it and looked on Amazon. YES! Not only can I simply click and order them but they are cheaper. They work great. They are the exact same thing I was paying more for and feeling frustrated at trying to find. I am so grateful to have these available and I have them delivered through Amazon subscription. It is an easy reminder to change them out when they arrive. If you replace them regularly your HEPA filter will last longer.

These filters are great! I have an older Holmes HAP8615 and had some difficulty finding HEPA filters, and these carbon filters in stores anymore. Amazon came through having both, and at a decent cost too. Carbon filters need to be replaced much more often then HEPA filters do, every month or so. So a pack of four being only a little over a dollar a filter is a reasonable price in my book. I've seen them on other sites for up to $20 for a four pack, so I'm very happy that these are priced as they are. I have severe allergies, asthma, and live in an apartment where the previous occupant smoked so air purifiers are mandatory for me. I run them hard, 24/7 365. I normally change my carbon filters about ever 2-3 weeks, but I've also found that I can rinse them off with some cold water, let them dry, and then replace them in the purifier to make them last even longer without a problem. I highly recomend using a carbon filter with your HEPA filter as well, since they lengthen the lifespan of your HEPA filter, and those are a lot more expensive then carbon filters are! All in all these are good filters, at a great price!

Great product works well

These are very good pre-filters but $34 for four? The last time I bought them from Amazon they were only 6.59 for four.

These are original carbon filters that fit perfectly in my Holmes machine. Amazon sells them at a price. You can’t beat anywhere.

No toxic scents. It's a basic good product that cleans the air. It does the job that needs to be done, without unneeded extraneous things--everything is for function at high quality.

Just one of their refills replaces the prefilter on 2 medium and one big honeywell filters of mine (the ones that take the R HEPA filters...I think the HPA300 and HPA200). Granted I had to use two pieces on the last big one since it was just barely not wide enough, but it covered everything. This means I still have enough to replace the whole set again! I could tell my previous one needed to be replaced since the odor control had diminished (I'm near construction), but my air filter are back to working perfectly.

This fits my air purifier perfectly, just as Amazon stated, and I installed it today. Boy, was it over due - all the filters were covered in dust. I am excited, as it can only help my allergies. Installs pretty easily, but it's always good if you look at the ones you are taking out before putting the new ones in! It's not hard though, and being a 4-pack, I am ready for a replace before having to re-order (the pack continues four and you use two at a time).

For the price I expected the filter set

Not the size of an AER-filter (as suggested by a picture) but a bit bigger - but it's easy to cut so it works perfectly. I have a Sunbeam air purifier with AER filters, and it is not meant to have an extra carbon filter, but it still works if you can manage to close the purifier :)
