Rypet Parakeet Nesting (cockatiel)
I recently purchased the Rypet Parakeet Nesting Box for my cockatiel, and I'm very happy with it overall. The transparent side panel is especially useful, allowing me to monitor the eggs and chicks without disturbing the birds. The wooden construction feels sturdy and provides a cozy environment for nesting, and the added perch makes it easy for my bird to enter and exit the box comfortably. It was simple to attach to the cage, and the size is generally suitable for cockatiels, though it may be a bit tight for larger ones. Additionaly the box can be opened easily as it has a access door or hinged top which makes maintenance easier. it's a well-designed, practical product that supports healthy and low-stress breeding.

Hi, I love the glass it is so cool, and it is well made. But it is made for small birdies so make sure you order for LoveBirds or Parakees a large one. Other then that I will be buying more.. great products.

The birds love it. I love it because I can see inside easily to check on what the terrible two are up too. Nice and big.

My parakeets, Brittney & Dusty, built a nest inside a swinging coconut and welcomed two clutches—first 4 eggs, then 6 more. 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚 Unfortunately, the coconut cracked with the 6 newly hatched babies, and left an opening. I was worried a baby could fall out or get injured on the edge, so I carefully set the coconut on the ledge, secured it, and immediately ordered a nest box from Amazon. Thank you, Amazon — you’re awesome! It arrived within hours. 🙌 The perch hole was a bit tight, so I gently filed the edges with the coarse side of a nail file until the perch fit properly. To be extra safe, I secured it with Gorilla Glue and waited about two hours to make sure everything was completely solid before letting them use it. To make the new box safe and cozy, I used the softest T-shirt we had. I shaped it into a gentle circle using the original nest as a guide, added thin fabric strips for extra softness, (thinking they could toss out if they don't like it) and placed everything on paper pellets. One side was indented slightly so the babies could nest securely. Then, very carefully, I transferred the coconut out of the cage, and put the babies into the new box. We mounted the box on the ledge using the provided screws. Everyone is safe, secure, and settled — and I can finally breathe. 💛 It wasn’t an instant adaptation. My birds aren’t tame, and rearranging their real estate is definitely not business as usual for them—so some hesitation was expected. Britney took about an hour before she came over to inspect the new setup. Sky, the King, checked it out next while Dusty stood watch. Once Sky gave it his look-over, Dusty finally went in to examine it himself. They’re still adjusting, but the best part is that we can now truly see and enjoy the babies from the window. Britney and the chicks have much more space—important, since there will eventually be seven birds in there—and the box gives them room to grow safely and comfortably. I have no doubt they’ll adapt and end up liking their new home even better than the coconut. Highly recommend it--very well made and easy to use.
