I walked into my shop and smelled something burning. I could not find the source of the smell. The next day, my appliance that was plugged into this thing was not working. When I inspected the unit I saw the burn marks you can see on the unit. It smells like burning plastic.Update: 01-20-2018 another melting plug. This is the second unit that failed. This one melted and started to smoke. I have 10 of these and after 2 failing units I removed the other 8 from service. Dangerous.

Device work well for a few weeks then something happen and they ask to change the app, works well again for a few days.Now the device are never online if you manage to find it online and turn it on you will not ba able to turn it offWorst customer service, ask 4 time for option how to get it to work absolutely no answerDO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEYThe review seems great but the reallity is different

Now I don't have to drive home when I can't remember if I turned off my flat iron! YAY!!!!! The manual button no longer works, but I can simply unplug it when I want it off manually. Had it for about a year now. Buying another one...

Purchased July 2017. It worked well until October 2017. No longer works. Akface does not have any way to reach them for support other than an email for support. They did not respond to the email.
