Solid, brand-name device that lets us decouple Echostream antennae from our server;
This is a nice little device that lets us decouple the Echostream antennae from our server. I recommend adding a password so that this device is more secure. Otherwise, it has open telnet and HTTP access.

Makes connecting old devices to the network very simple
I used this to connect 2 different devices that still use the 9pin serial cable to my network since it wasn't possible to run the serial cables all the way back to my server. It was simple connections and adds 2 com ports in the device manager.

you will be good to go
Lantronix consistently delivers a quality product, this is no exception. Need two serial ports over Ethernet? This is what you need. Once you get familiar with their virtual com port setup software, you will be good to go.

Great Product
Originally I purchased this product for a Ethernet to RS-232 converter for an installation at a customer's site. When I noticed that it is just as easy to program for RS-485, I made new cables and used it as an Ethernet to RS-485 converter. It worked out great. It is easy to install, easy to configure and has a rugged design.

Replaces the Siemens AEM.
This device can be used as an AEM (Apogee Ethernet Module) in the Siemens System 600 control system. A solution if you need serial to Ethernet connection.

Works awesome!
We use these devices to power equipment in our company. They work great and never fail. I just wish the two port versions like this were POE!
