Looks and works great, very quiet.
Not sure why the negative reviews. Most wall clocks use a movement like this.It’s a (almost) silent sweeping movement. Has kept great time since we got it several months ago.

Doesn't work, mechanism is cheap and probably fundamentally defective
DO NOT BUY. We read some reviews of this clock and similar cheap-o Amazon brands and noticed quite a number of them mentioning the time not being accurate, and in some cases not functioning at all. Well it seems to me this is probably the rule and not the exception. Looking at the mechanism that operates the hands on a single AA battery, it just looks extremely cheap and we're frankly not surprised at all when it simply stopped moving a few hours after putting in a fresh battery.
