Does this have synthetic fragrance?

Yes. If you’re looking for a natural spray, this isn’t the one for you.

Since there are oils in the spray will it stain my sheets?

It did not stain my Percale sheets & pillow cases. I found the smell to be nauseating the 1st. Night on clean sheets, and anxious to take them off & wash them in the morning & the smell was still as strong. Needless to say, I did not get much sleep that night. I’ve not used since & never will.

How does the melatonin help? I.e. what is the delivery method? Is it aresolized? Or does it absorb through the skin if you apply this to your body?

It is not an aresol. It is a light favorable fragrance. Melatonin is natural so it absorbs into the nose and skin - there is also a Dr. Teals night lotion on the market - and all encourage sleep. Even if it doesn't work I still like the products because they have all worked magic with me! Smells Great!!
