A classic Bloody Gaming mouse! You get your money's worth with the P81!
Today’s gaming mouse review is for the Bloody P81 Optical Gaming Mouse with Light Strike Switch & Scroll. For those not familiar with the “Bloody” gaming brand, it’s part of A4Tech Co., Ltd., which is a private Taiwan-based computer hardware and electronics company founded back in 1987. In 2011, the company started to focus on their secondary gaming brand, Bloody Gaming and is known for their Light Strike technology. While the company prides itself on their Signature Pro Optical Switch series of mice, such as the SP30 and SP80 and AL90 (for weight tuning). They do offer many other types of mice under $35 such as the Bloody P81 Optical Gaming Mouse with Light Strike Switch & Scroll. This mouse has been popular since 2019 and showcases their Light Strike technology which uses an infrared Micro Switch to react at light speed with extreme 0.2ms click response. It features their BC3332-S Gaming Engine, 6 weapon modes, adjustable X/Y Axis, 2000 Hz Report Rate and a Metal X’Glide Armor boot. The mouse also has an Infrared-Wheel which can turn millions of times in its lifespan and an adjustable CPI of 100-8000. For one, for those looking for a mouse under $35, the benefit of this mouse is its ability to switch colors at a quick rate. People who love color changing gaming hardware, will dig this mouse as it is no doubt the main attraction. And to change the color effects (there are 5 presets) is just to raise your mouse and press the 1 button and you can cycle through the presets. As for the weapon modes, you can control it by the left key and pressing 1/N/3/scroll button and the 2 side buttons using the Bloody software. There are also six sniper modes. Which begs the question of where to find the software (for Windows Vista up to Windows 11) to assign the buttons and you can go to the blood[dot]com site and on the left is download and looke for Bloody 7 [Mouse] and they do update the software which is a plus. For an under $35 mouse, I have to give this mouse a thumbs up. Yes, there are a lot of competition in the under $35 gaming mouse category but I don’t think I came across one with this many features (especially for colors) at that pricepoint (typically, over $50). So, that’s a major plus. Granted, while programmable buttons are common, the light strike switch technology employed by the company for the past few years is a plus afterall, it’s become a major selling point for the mouse as it’s not just the logo or side panels, this whole mouse is colorful. It’s a wired mouse that I have tested with numerous games and I do like it. It’s comfortable, I was able to get my preference of moving speed, the side buttons are slightly raised in position, so I don’t accidentally hit them. Wired cable is braided, I really have no complaints. It’s a very good mouse for the price and you get your money’s worth for this optical gaming mouse. The Bloody P81 Optical Gaming Mouse with Light Strike Switch & Scroll is recommended!

Below average
Mouse is ok for the price. It is little light for a gaming mouse. The sensitivity is very off. I have to do alot of adjustment but still not very satisfy. Its look cool but overall its a below average

Really like this mouse...
Honestly so far I love this mouse. After dealing with issues with wireless mice it's a sigh of relief getting a wired again. Last mouse was going haywire and had to switch up to my backup wired which is a cheapy. It's a big relief having a nice gaming wired mouse. There is a few big key things to note which are good. For starters the lighting is pretty incredible not gonna lie. The starlight style look is beautiful to look at as well as all the color options and fade to choose from. The next big thing is the feel. Over time some mice cause your hands to cramp up or feel awkward handling. Not the case for this mouse at all. Feels great in the hand and I could use it all night long without issues for sure. And even better yet they chose metal slide pads instead of plastic!! That means the chances of it gumming up are slim to none! Has your standard buttons for gaming mouse which most are accustomed to which is fine. All in all I really can't wait to use it some more and put it through it's paces! The sensor looks like a nicer higher quality one so I have hopes of that lasting longer! Very happy, would gladly recommend.

Snazzy, attractive gaming mouse — for Windows users.
I generally prefer gaming brands over office-oriented ones for my home equipment. While some RGB presentations can predispose me to migraines, the flexibility can’t be overstated — customizable lighting and precision make or break me. (Yes, I’m that jerk with the loud mechanical keyboard down the hall. In the immortal words of Korone Inugami: “NOT SORRY.”) I initially tried this mouse out on MacOS and iPadOS, my daily driver environments, since the manual suggested that I should be able to adjust RGB settings on the fly in hardware. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case, as the settings will revert to a rapidly-shifting animation almost immediately. It’s gorgeous to look at, but not suited to me as a migraineur day-to-day. That doesn’t mean I’m not still in love with this incredibly responsive, smooth, and precise mouse! There is Windows software for it which *will* let you adjust those settings, and it just flies on that platform. I game less than the target audience, but do need a highly responsive mouse for detail work on every platform I use, and this fits the bill. I work in a number of household environments (you can’t just stay at a desk all day) and it glides over most every surface I put this up against, from a slick desk to a coarse comforter to a bamboo sheet. I had to ramp down dpi slightly because this was working better than I needed. Honestly, there is no reason you shouldn’t consider Bloody over a number of better-known brands with brick and mortar presence. This wired mouse is a great place to start, especially in the striking starlight pattern — but stick to Windows.

A great mouse
I ordered this mouse based on the asthetics because my son loves all thing RGB. While he loves the way it looks, he's even more impressed with how well it works. If you are a gamer, you won't be disappointed with how responsive the mouse it. He hasn't complained once about there being a lag while playing any of his first person shooter games. It's a nice size and comfortable to use for hours on end, even if you have a larger hand. I haven't used it myself, so I have to base my review on my child's opinion. but he says he recommends it.
