This chair is very, very sturdy. My husband is a big guy and wanted a folding chair that could stand up to being folded and folded in his shop for the occasional sit. It truly is heavy for this type of chair - and so is my husband. Wide and heavy - 6' 300lbs. But it fits him nicely. The arms are padded and covered. The nice thing is that the covers on the arms are velcroed so when they get a bit pushed back you can undo them and replace them. And wash them. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

This chair is heavy duty and very sturdy. Big sizes will be very comfortable in this chair as the seat is quite wide.I bought it again when needed.

I rate these chairs 10 out of 10. They are sturdy, firm, and comfortable. They fold up nicely and all the metal framework is very stout and the folding joints are tough and work smoothly. We have used this same kind of camping chair for over 20 years. We owned an RV park and allowed guests to use them around the campfire and office area and none of them broke. Eventually, the stitching in the fabric wears out (20 years or so) but we still have a few old ones we use. I am really glad to find these available now. I looked for the last 3 years for this particular chair. A note: The seating portion is firm and allows seniors great control from tipping, sitting down and getting up. None better IMO.

Very sturdy. We needed it for my husband while he recuperates from back surgery. It's a little heavy for me to transport, but lighter than a transport wheel chair. It's also difficult for me to close because I'm a small person. It did work well for our purpose. I would recommend it because most people would not have the difficulties I experience.

I’m 6’4” and wanted a bigger beach type chair. This one is well built and taller so easier to get up from. Super strong.

We have similar, lighter duty chairs that we've enjoyed for years. These new chair represent a real upgrade in quality, comfort & width, and sturdiness. They are a lot heavier, but the build quality is outstanding! Highly recommended!

While it's easy to unfold, it is a little difficult to collapse. But that's only a problem for the weak. It's a great product.

Wow. Industrial Strength directors chair is very well made which is needed match my 230 lb weight. It is also quite wide and is of a perfect height that allows for an easy stand-up. Yes, there are less expensive but I felt for my wife and I to enjoy road side vistas this sturdy chair meets the bill. It is a little on the heavy side which translates to stronger materials so I am ok with the weight. As the description said "Heavy Duty".
