Neat hasp/latch that I put on a treasure chest that I built for my nephews. Great antique look and function. One of the pieces that sticks out that the pin slides through was a bit loose and wiggles, hopefully it holds up but I do fear that it will break off over time.

I bought this to replace a broken latch on my steamer trunk. It’s very sturdy, and great quality.

This was ordered for a 13"x20" maple chest/box. It is a good complement to the color of the maple wood. I needed to grind the edges off of the posts so the clasp would fit over them once it was mounted, this affected the finish of course. It is a bit flimsy and not really intended for any security or even holding a lid closed under pressure, but as a decoration and finishing piece, it serves its' purpose well.
