It's doesn't connect to power its a rod that's minerals attach to to prevent build up and corrosion on the heater tank

Looks like a nice quality rod for a great price! Easy and fast to install and fits perfect! Make sure to order the correct size, these are made for different size tanks. I also ordered a tank sprayer to clean out the residue and sediment, there was a lot in my tank.
