Fanimation Windpointe - 22 inch - Rust with Antique Narrow Oval Blades with Pull-Chain - FP7500RS

I would take off half of a star if I could, because the finish on the fan blades is VERY shiny. It is not at all the same as what's shown in the pictures in the listing. It's not the end of the world, but I would prefer the matte finish that's shown. Maybe it will tone-down over time.Regarding the fan itself, there's a lot to like. It's one of the quietest fans I've ever owned, and I've spent upwards of $1,000 on other fans. It's whisper quiet at all speeds. I was also pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to balance the fan. Considering the way the blades are assembled, I thought for sure it would be wobbly, but it doesn't wobble at all, at any speed. Just about every other fan I've ever purchased needed to be balanced. In terms of air movement, I think it's fine. At low speed, you can't feel much, which I would sort of expect, but as you go to medium or high, I can feel plenty of air. I've got it installed on a 9 ft ceiling, and the blades are 7.5 ft off the ground, using the down rod that came with it (6", I think) It might not be the best in terms of air movement if you have REALLY high ceilings, but it works well on a 9ft ceiling. Overall, I'm very happy with the fan, except the shiny finish on the blades.

We needed to replace two existing ceiling fans and install a third in a new location. We installed three Fanimation Windpointe ceiling fans. All came out of the box without difficulty and unblemished. There were no difficulties installing the two replacement units and mounting the third in a new location went off without a hitch. The units look nice and are well finished. They are pleasantly quiet in operation (no hums or rattles). All in all a very satisfactory purchase and would purchase again in future.

This is a great looking fan as well as very functional. I was hesitant to buy real palm leaf blades, I found the system used by Fanimation to reinforce the blade edges with thin bamboo makes them very strong. The brackets used to hold the fan blades use a sandwich technique and also effectively reinforce the blades.Gentle as a summer breeze.... My feeling is the ridges and folds occurring naturally in the palm leaf blades cause the air flow to be slightly disrupted creating a breeze like effect rather than a direct air blast effect created by standard smooth blades. Some reviewers state the air movement seems less than a traditional bladed fan, I think this is why you feel less air. My experience is this fan moves plenty of air.

I thought carefully before spending the extra money on this Fanimation fan, rod and light kit. Being a senior and a widow, I hired an electrician to hang the fan and add the rod and light kit. When it was all done it looked great, the light worked but the fan was faulty...we could hear the motor making a slight sound but no movement of the blades, and the electricians checked it all and decided it was faulty. Now I had to spend time on Amazon support (twice as they ordered the incorrect item) and in the end I have to pay the electricians to come back and take down the faulty fan and hang the replacement and then ship back the first fan...let's hope the new one works.....I'm not a happy camper...when you spend this much on a fan you expect it to work and not to have to pay the electricians TWICE!!!!! The 2 stars were for the look of the fan which is lovely but what good is it if it doesn't work....

This is such a pretty tropical looking fan. Bought it for a kids room and it looks terrific. Will go well with the elephant wallpaper! I bought it without the light kit so it looks more authentic. The fan blades are lightweight and easy to assemble onto the fan more It does not come with a remote and has to be hard wired with a switch on the wall.

It looks nice & all but doesn't rotate very fast even at the fastest setting and so doesn't provide a lot of wind, more like a mild breeze. Other than that it's a nice fan and I got lot of compliments on this.

Pretty fan but DOESN'T BLOW AIR! Installed this model fan on our screen porch but it is useless. Waste of money.

Easy installation, beautiful design and very quiet. We have five ceiling fans in our home and this is by far the nicest and circulates the air better than any of the others. I will buy a Fanimation ceiling fan again.
