Waste of time and money
The extraction of blood was not easy to do as many have reported. As recommended I did no squeezing to hurry the process, in fact I wondered if the bleeding was going to stop, however, apparently, they were unable to obtain a result for any of the elements of the test. No other advice or offer was made. I was going to try some of the other tests but I will not bother. Our village post is collected very late in the day and this poor response was received the following day which I thought was a bit quick..."A hemolyzed test result or ‘hemolysis’ can happen when the red blood cells in the sample burst. When this happens, it is usually not possible to get a test result. Hemolysis can happen with any blood tests, regardless of the method of blood collection (eg. finger prick sample or venous blood draw) and where it was collected (eg. at the doctor's surgery, self-collection or in hospital). It is more likely to occur If sample collection was prolonged or difficult and the finger was squeezed or ‘milked’, if the sample was shaken vigorously, or if there was a long delay between sample collection and analysis."

Fast service
I got the result back very fast and found out my result is abnormal. I'm glad I did the test, now I know I should contact GP. I couldn't contact them before because I didn't know what went wrong. The app is very simple and easy to use.

Really useful but literally a pain to use
You might be wondering what the point of these home tests are when we have the NHS? But the NHS, though wonderful, have to save money where they can and won't test you for anything on demand and tend to not do thorough checkups for those diagnosed with untreatable chronic illnesses. If they can't be treated, then there wouldn't be much point. However, every health complaint I have gets blamed on my chronic illness, and I would like to know for sure if there might be something not related to my illness affecting me instead. These tests are a good way to give your GP a push to get you the help you need. The test comes with everything you need, but it isn't super easy to use. Most of the tests (including this one) are blood tests and require you to use a lancet on your finger and then squeeze the blood out into a vial. The vial is small, but it feels like quite a lot of blood when you're squeezing it out of your fingertip! My fingers clot quite quickly so I had to lancet several times to get enough blood for 1 test (several lancets per test are provided). If the vial is under-filled, they won't accept it.Each of these tests comes with a prepaid return label printed on a mail bag to send it back to them for free. Some of these return labels are for the Royal Mail and some are for UPS - you don't get to choose which, so bear this in mind before ordering, though you can arrange a courier collection if you're provided with a UPS label. My kidney test was sent by royal mail from Yorkshire to a lab in London. It took 2 days for them to receive my kit and for me to get my results. You must post the kit to them from Monday-Thursday only as if the package is delayed over the weekend, the sample could spoil so it is best to do it early in the morning so it can be collected in the mail the same day.You can register your test kit on either the browser website or the mobile app. They ask for some medical history related to the test you've ordered and a list of current medication.Overall, it seems pretty good and provided me with some useful insights and I would recommend it if you have health concerns that your GP isn't taking seriously, but bear in mind that milking the sample from a lancet wound on your finger is a bit of a pain, literally.I've included some screen caps of the app so you can see what the service looks likeI hope this was helpful.

Speedy Service
I'm impressed by just how fast you can get your results from sending off the kit. I actually ordered a few of these packs to try out and one thing I noticed was it was hard to differentiate the packs from the boxes, I would have to look inside the pack to find the biohazard bag that had the test's name on it, otherwise it would be impossible to tell. The box provided everything needed for the test, very easy to do and provides four lancets to extract the blood with. I found that I was able to get the right amount needed using just two, but this would definitely vary person to person, so it's good four are provided. Once the test is complete, it is very important to fill out the information on the biohazard bag, otherwise it seems the test will not be taken. I found that it took two days for the test to be received after posting, then one to two days for the results to come in, which is much faster than expected!I found that you will get a call from a nurse if the results are abnormal, or emailed to check the results if they are fine. When I had a call the first time, it said it was from New York, which led me not want to answer. The second time was from London, but again I left this as it was an unknown number and didn't receive a voicemail, which would have been nice to have. The email does state to give the number a call for any questions on the results.I think the main thing that I would have preferred from the results would be more information about what each test was actually testing for, and just more information in general about what it means if it's higher or lower than normal. I downloaded the LetsGetChecked app, and found it was very easy to use, plus I prefer having easy access to these results at any time if I need them.Overall though, the speed of the service and quality of the packs are great, it would just be nice to have a bit more information about the tests and what it could mean if it's high or low
