This stuff works great!
I used this for a 240 square foot patio made of 1 foot pavers. Put down 3 - 4 inches of decomposed granite and used a plate compactor (rented from HD) to make sure it was solid. Then a 1 inch layer of sand to set the pavers. Set them in and lightly tamped them in. Just left a 1/8 inch gap between the pavers. They felt "loose" when walking on them, even though the base was very firm, they'd move slightly when walking. I had planned on using another brand of poly sand, but when I looked at the instructions, the stuff available locally said it was for 1/4 inch or larger gaps. I found this Dominator Polymeric sand at Amazon, it had good reviews, and said it could be used for 1/8 gaps. So I bought the 45 lb bucket. Installation was pretty simple: Spread the sand over the pavers, then sweep it into the gaps. I used a 24" push broom with fairly still bristles. Keep spreading sand and sweeping until the gaps are full. I found that going across the gaps at an angle worked best. When the gaps are full, sweep the excess off. Then use a leaf blower to get the remaining dust. Use the leaf blower LIGHTLY so you don't blow the sand out of the gaps! Following the instructions, I used a hose set on shower to spray small sections (about 8x10) at a time. Spray for 15 - 20 seconds until water just starts to pool on the sand, then stop and wait about 30 seconds. Then spray it a second time. It only took about 5 minutes to do my 240 square feet. I again used a leaf blower to blow any sand residue off the top of the pavers. To be honest, I don't think that made a difference on my concrete pavers, as I used the Titanium color, which perfectly matched the pavers. I don't think I did a good job with the second round of blowing, but there are no stains anywhere. That's it. Done. And when walking on the pavers immediately afterwards, they were SOLID! The sand was still wet, but this stuff really locked the pavers into place! And the next day, after the sand had cured more, it was even more solid. The stuff sets up almost like a good silicone sealant; it's flexible, but it's kinda glues the pavers together. I had about a 1/4 inch gap around the perimeter of the pavers, between the pavers and the aluminum edging I used, and (about 2 weeks later) you can press your finger into those spots and it's still kind of flexible. Solid, but flexible. It feels like it'll stay that way for years. And the pavers don't move around - at all! We moved our patio furniture onto it, and use it daily. The 45 lb bucket was just enough to do our 240 square foot patio with 12 inch paver with 1/8 inch gaps. And I mean just barely. If you have bigger gaps or smaller pavers, you'd need more. Yes, it's fairly expensive compared to the kind at the big box stores, but it's worth every penny. If you're doing pavers, don't even think about getting something else - this stuff is awesome!

A good quality product!
The Dominator Polymeric Sand is a great product that actually works. I have tried similar products found in the garden center of the local big box hardware store which never really worked. After applying this product I can walk away and get busy with other projects in my house! JS

Great product
The product was easy to work with and filled our concrete joints just as expected. However, the titanium gray color is almost white with very little gray color. I wish I'd purchased charcoal gray.

Easy to use but pricey
Only reason itโs not getting 5 stars is because of the price. Very easy to use and looks great.

Hardened up nicely
I used this DOMINATOR polymeric sand to complete the steps on my back patio, and it worked well. The camel brown color looks nice, and it hardened up nicely after installation. It helped fill the joints and gave the patio steps a cleaner, more finished look. Overall, Iโm happy with how it turned out.

Fills cracks better, keeps weeds/ants out, and prevents shifting
I hate when weeds grow through the openings between pavers on my walkway, and I hate even more when ants build tall mounds that seem to appear overnight. Thatโs why I decided to try this productโand Iโm glad I did. Yes, it was about twice as expensive as what I usually get from the big box store, but itโs much better quality and worth the extra cost. The grain is finer, and once watered in, it solidifies better than the cheaper brands. This makes a big difference because if the sand between your pavers gets washed out, the stones will eventually start shiftingโespecially if your walkway is on a hill. Some extra details that may help others: The color match is excellent for light grey pavers. One bag covered my pathway (3 feet wide by 30 feet long). There is some dust when pouring, but no more than normal. Follow the directions carefully for best results. Since this comes in just a bag, you cannot store leftoversโmoisture from the air will ruin it (speaking from experience). Only buy what you need. I usually refill the cracks every 5 years to keep things neat and stable. Overall, this product does a better job of keeping weeds and ants out, looks nicer, and keeps my walkway solid. Worth the investment if you want your pavers to last.

Works perfectly and a great price.
Works great! In time the joints in my patio diminish and small weeds begin to grow. I power wash the joints and fill with Doninator sand, sweep and then spray the area....once it dries it is like new.

Watering is the KEY
I ordered this product to repair a few areas on my three paver walks that were completed 3 years ago. The affected areas were mainly where the paver walks abutted the trex deck staircases and cement driveway. The product poured easily into gaps as wide as 1/16" even though it advertises a 1/8" minimum. I first scrubbed the walks and allowed them to dry overnight. I then cleaned the affected gaps with a putty knife the next day and then carefully poured sand into them until it reached 1/8" below the paver surface. I then watered the sand with an adjustable hose nozzle in the following manner. First, set the sprinkler head to mist and water the sand for about 5-8 seconds. Second, after waiting 1 minute, set the sprinkler head to shower and water the sand for 5-6 seconds. Do not allow the water to stand on the sand, Lastly, after waiting 1-2 minutes with the head still on shower, water the sand for 3-4 seconds. Most important: Always wave the sprinkler across the sand, do not pause over one area while watering. Two hours after completion, the sand should be firm to a light touch. Leave it alone for a minimum of 24 hours to fully cure. These directions are for small gap widths of 1/16" to 3/16". Larger gaps will require longer water times.

Works great!
This is the same stuff that was used on my walkway installation. It works great. Just as stated. My problem was that I bought the wrong color. It firms up nice though and will keep weeds and ants out.
