Solid little blade
Other than the fact it’s stamped with “Made in Taiwan” right on the blade it an awesome little knife. I’ve only had it for a day so I can’t attest to its’ longevity but I’m only using it as a self defense weapon, not an everyday blade for opening boxes and such. It’s razor sharp out of the box. The weight feels good in your hand but isn’t not even noticeable when it’s on a belt or even gym shorts. It deploys easily if it’s anchored to a belt but a little trickier with gym shorts. It still deploys but you have to tug a bit harder to get it out which, is probably a good thing. The clip is reversible which is really nice. It gives you the choice to not only carry right or left side but you can choose which way the handle is positioned too. I reversed mine so when it’s on my right side the knife will deploy with the blade in my palm so it’s facing away from my body. I prefer this position as I can still close my fist easily with the handle in my hand. This is the preferred method of carry for self defense purposes. All-in-all I’m very happy with this knife. For the price point you can’t go wrong. I compared it to a lot of similar knives and I’m glad I chose this one.

KaBar self defense knife.
This KaBar TDI is very well made in Taiwan. To all the people that say it's not a k-bar because it's not made in the US..wrong. Taiwan makes very very great knives all my Cold Steels are made in Taiwan. This knife fits very well into my big hands. It a punch stabber designed to be a last resort wepon if someone were to pin you down or attempt to take your sidearm. Its full tang AUS8A steel. Very sharp and sharpness back up very nice and easy. The sheath is well made too i like the way it clips to the belt strong. Conceals comfortably They do make different aftermarket sheath's for it if you prefer a different feel/look 10/10

holster works fine, very nice concealed carry knife
Most of the reviews for the actual knife are excellent and I agree. I will address the negative reviews about the holster. The major complaint about the holster is that it is too tight and it is difficult to remove the knife. I disagree. As you can see from my pics the holster has a thumb grip to assist in removing the knife. A quick press results in an audible click as the knife releases and then it is free to grab. I would consider this a safety feature and not a con. The knife is always firmly in the holster until you want it. Anytime someone purchases a concealed weapon for self defense the expectation should be that they practice unholstering and "dry-firing" the weapon. I have had mine for a day and have probably randomly drawn it 100x already, each time becoming faster at clicking off the "safety" and withdrawing the weapon. This will insure muscle memory when I need it most. In my opinion: Great knife, great holster, but they sell aftermarket ones right here on Amazon that are looser if you just can't get used to it.

Interesting design
Well thought out blade, sheath, and clip. Comes sharp out of the box and has a well constructed full-tang blade. Unfortunately, I have large hands so my index finger knuckle contacts the base of the blade if I quickly grab the knife from its sheath. If the blade had a slightly different angle that wouldn’t be a problem. I have the same style blade in size large and have sufficient room for my hand on it. The downside of the size large is it’s size and weight. I may try to grind some of the offending area away on the smaller version to make it more comfortable for my hand. That said, the knife is well made so I would suggest trying one for yourself to see if it works for your hand.

Great concept, great price, mediocre quality
Great knife, designed for a specific application. The quality IS low, however it's not a tool that sees daily use to the cutting edge. So I don't really see this as a huge issue. I received my knife and straight out of the box, noticed there was a very poorly applied tdc logo, not going to change the way the knife functions for it's intended purpose, but it's definatley not something you want to show off. Everything else was as advertised. Good coating, solid well secured grip panels, nice sharp edge and a well designed belt clip. It's been carried weakside for 2 weeks and no complaints. Overall for under $35 you can't expect topshelf quality, but I'll bet I still have a usable tool in ten years time. Four stars... With a good solid laser etched logo, five stars!

Kabar TDI
I think this is a great knife to back up a firearm for an undercover LEO or citizen who carries. Anyone who carries a firearm for defensive purposes needs to be prepared for the potential that you may end up on your back in a fight over your firearm - perhaps even while it's holstered. This knife, designed to be carried on your off-side, can provide you with a little piece of mind if it's not needed - and a HUGE benefit if it is. It's a very small, very discreet weapon that conceals easily behind a magazine carrier or under a t-shirt. The knife itself is a full tang weapon with a very sturdy build. It's also very sharp. I wish Kabar made a decent inside waistband sheath for it - but there are several online marketers that do. I've integrated this into my EDC utilizing one. You won't be disappointed.

My favorite knife.
Ok, this knife is great. I'm a state trooper and have to work alone alot in my job. My backup my take awhile to arrive. I need to be able to handle myself until help arrives. Why I like this knife is because it's small and hides in my belt, and it has a quick draw. I can grab and pull this weapon out lightning fast. The design of this knife is second to none. It fits great in your hand and is razor sharp. I wear it on duty and off duty. Off duty it's completely concealed and just blends into my clothing on my belt. I ordered a second one now that has the serrated style. For 34.00 it's totally worth it. It's good quality and seems very durable.

If you live in a country like me (Canada ) where carrying a gun is illegal and don't want to lug around a heavy knife in your pocket everyday then I would say this is the perfect knife to get. Takes a little bit of practice to be able to draw it fast without the whole sheath coming off but you can just use your thumb to hold down the sheath as you draw the knife. Well made. Light. Cheap. Delivered the next day. And sharp. A great combination. What more could you ask for?

Excellent knife. It clips on my belt and feels very sturdy. Every first responder should have one for a all else fails weapon. Ka-bar has never let me down. I have only had it out twice and used it once. Compact and very easy to get out efficiently especially if your on your back fighting for your life. Great to deliver a armpit puncture or go through logging to deliver a fast tendon slice. Like I said I have kmly had to use it once. Ka-bar has never let me down.

Wow. Just... wow. Great feel, awesome sheath, razor-sharp outta the box, terrific size and obvious high-quality. Definitely looking forward to using this as an EDC. Small enough to not get in the way, but enough size to do serious damage... if need be. Another quality product from Ka-Bar. Once again, fantastic shipping via Intelcom. (I love having stuff delivered on the weekend)

Good small knife that is easily carried inside or outside of waist belt. Come with a little tool to dismantle and flip the orientation of the knife. The handle seems to be cheap plastic, but it's still a decent grip. And for a knife this size, the grip is not a huge factor; the angle of the blade in reference to the grip makes this easy to maintain a solid grasp. The holster part that clip onto a belt is very well made, and it has an extra lip on the bottom that will catch the belt and prevent from coming off the belt completely. The knife also secures pretty firmly into the sheath. The steel used is unfortunately the "Taiwan" type often seen in mediocre blades. It's an overall good blade considering the type of knife, and it can be sharpened easily and can maintain a decent edge, but use it as a multi-purpose knife for camping or give a little abuse and the dulling will become evident. That's obviously the main purpose of this knife but it demonstrates the steel quality. Obviously nobody would expect this to be some CPM grade steel or anything, but it's a little lower grade than expected for a knife and company like this.
