Helps with Nerve Pain
Recently, I have been diagnosed with neuropathy, nerve pain in my legs and feet. I had taken this for quite a while before my doctor put me on a prescription strength medicine for this. I noticed, and last couple of months, that the prescription meds cause multiple side effects that I am not a fan of. Recently, I have gone back to ALA as it is something natural and does not have side effects other than possibly an upset stomach. Speaking of which, make sure that you eat a meal when you take it to avoid this you might also want to talk to others to figure out what dosage you need as normally ALA comes in a 200, 300, or 600 mg tablet. How’s always, talk to your doctor first, but I think it is worth a try over more expensive products that you see advertised on TV like Nu..vive which mainly contains lipoic acid anyway.

Didn't work for me alleviating burning mouth syndrome mouth pain.
This product was used in a control group of people with burning mouth syndrome. it provided some relief of the mouth pain in a small subset of people - approximately 30%. I decided to give it a try in the dosage used in the test - 300mg twice a day. Unfortunately after using for two months it did not provide any relief for me. It may work for others as BMS is very difficult to treat with no known cure.
