Dremel Quality-
Just what I wanted. I have the cordless tool mounted in a table vise with tool holder option and a flex shaft attached. It works perfect for carving a wood duck at my workstation. Great power, long lasting battery, and Dremel quality. What more does one need!

This is an amazing tool
This is an amazing tool. The last Dremel tool I bought has a cord and the motor has brushes. I still have it, but this one with the brushless motor works so much better and is more powerful. It runs so smooth and is easy to use being cordless. I'll keep my old one but I am happy that I finally decided to get a cordless, brushless model.

Definitely worth the price.
Very nice tool to have for anyone that does maintenance work in housing. Battery life is great, and adjustable speed is very nice. Good tool to have in the bag, at a reasonable price. Add a $15 bit kit from Harbor Freight, and this tool becomes incredibly handy.

Good upgrade from an older model
I used the same Craftsman rotary tool for 30+ years and went through several sets of brushes to keep it going. It was a good tool but I wanted an upgrade to latest technology. This new cordless, brushless Dremel is sweet. Immediate stop with off switch (the old tool had to spin down to a stop), the nose cap has an integrated wrench for the collet (no need for that little wrench to change bits), it maintains its speed even with heavy pressure (the old tool would slow down and stall under pressure). And of course the obvious, no cord and no more replacing brushes is a plus. It's bigger and heavier then the corded one, but that is what a battery does to it, its a trade-off. But, I was able to use it for some cutting and sanding without too much fatigue in the fingers, and didn't bother my wrist at all. So will this new one last 30+ years? All I did to the old one is replace brushes three times at $3 each set. Will this battery last 30 years? Will a new battery cost more than $3? Will they still make this model battery? The old one was just a motor and a simple variable speed control circuit. The new one has and electronic speed controller to generate the rotating magnetic field for brushless operation. How is that electronic speed controller going to hold up over time, or will I need to change out a circuit board in the future? But the model 8250 has a limited lifetime warranty so that's good. I'm probably comparing apples to oranges, but it is interesting to think about. Definitely a good upgrade.

Everyone needs something like this
Bought this to bore out existing holes to bigger sizes and found while it isn't super effective at that with the included accessories, I have found many uses for it since. I think the included accessories make it a good value for the money. Convenient and cordless, well made, comfortable in hand.

Totally Impressed by This Cordless Beast
The Dremel 8250-5 is a game-changer. The build quality is top-notch — feels durable and well-made. The cutting ability is impressive for a cordless tool, handling wood, metal, and plastic with ease. The compact size makes it super easy to maneuver, even in tight spots. With a brushless motor, it delivers smooth, consistent power without bogging down. Plus, it’s quieter than other rotary tools I’ve used. The battery lasts long and charges fast. If you need a reliable, portable rotary tool, this one’s a no-brainer.

Cordless dremeling is so convenient!
A nice cordless dremel, already getting good use. Charges quickly enough, and the charge outlasts my endurance working on carving and grinding projects.

Very nice kit and Dremem tool. Has one battery and couple of collets. A little pricey but is brushless and works really well not having to worry about a cord when doing a job.

Unfortunately, the product has multiple serious issues that make it unusable. First: While charging, the indicator shows green as if the battery is full, but once installed it turns blue and remains extremely low. The tool shuts off after only a few minutes. I charged it multiple times for long hours with zero improvement — a clear sign the battery is defective or old stock. Second: Even when trying to use the tool, it immediately shuts off when set to a high speed level. It cannot handle even minimal load, which indicates either an internal fault or a battery that cannot provide enough power. This is not a minor defect — the product is simply not usable. The customer loses, while the seller benefits from selling a faulty product at a high price. This is unacceptable, especially from a brand like Dremel. I strongly advise checking the battery and tool condition before buying, because the issue is obvious from the very beginning.
