Fox Run Stick-Um Candle Adhesive, 0.5-Ounce

For years I have been wrapping little strips of paper towel around the base of tapers because they don't always fill the candle holder tight enough so that they stand straight. It was sometimes successful. But this year for my many Christmas candles I bought this Fox Run Stick-Um Candle Adhesive and now I no longer need the paper towel strips and my candles stand straighter than ever. It holds until you want to take them out, then they come out easily. I was worried about getting the adhesive on things - either squishing out of the holders or dropping some on my counter. But It comes off super easy - you just kind of roll it off and it leaves no residue. It's looks and feels like a cross between rubber cement and old-fashioned paste that we used (a looong time ago) in grade school. It works great and the 2 oz. tub will last for years. Highly recommend.

I had been using this for my candles and items on a glass shelf. Then my grandson started a train set up. He uses it to keep his trees in place on the platform.

I have used Fox-Run Stick-Um Candle Adhesive for over 30 years to keep candles correctly positioned in candle holders. It is clear and odor-free, and maintains its pliability over time, so that if you have a candle that ever does shift from being bumped, it just takes a moment to straighten it and it will hold in the straightened position. It is clear, and doesn't show through my crystal candleholders that I keep tapers in on my dining room table. They are antique candle holders, and modern tapers are a little thin, so this adhesive works perfectly to keep them straight. I take a small amount of the adhesive and put it on the base of each candlestick and press down. It also works to apply a little around the base of each candlestick. I have also found another use for this adhesive. It is great for online sellers who have an object like a fountain pen (that might roll) that needs to be in a certain position to photograph for a listing. A tiny dot of this adhesive will hold it perfectly in position for the photograph, and can easily be wiped off when you're done.

I have a pair of pewter candle holders that just seem a tad large for normal tapers. A number of years ago I found this stuff at a candle shop. It works much better than trying to melt wax into the hole, get the candle in and straight before the wax hardens, etc. I finally ran out and bought this from Amazon. Perhaps it is “fresher” than the years-old tin that I had been using, but this seems a little more flexible than my old tin of the exact same stuff. When you are trying to get candles to stay straight, more flexible is not necessarily better. For this reason, I only gave it 4 stars. That said, this is still the best way to get candles to stand in misfitting candle holders.

I bought Fox Run 3100 Stick-Um Candle Adhesive for the first time to help hold my Chanukah candles. It seems that the "cups" are a little larger than the candles. It'a such a hassle every year trying to get them to stand up straight and stay that way util they've burned themselves out. In the past, I'd hold each one over a flame to melt a little of the wax on the bottom and try to get them set before the wax hardened again. I saw this, read some reviews and decided to give it a try. It works fabulously well! I just swipe the candles across it lightly, and put them in the holders. The directions say to use a pea size amount but with the little candles, you could probably do 3-4 or more (?) with just a small pea sized amount. There's no mess--no hassle. I haven't noticed any build up in the candle holders either. I've only had one candle that didn't burn itself up completely so I had to remove a little wax before placing a new candle. You'd never know I was using an adhesive with the candle--it must have just come right out along with the little bit of wax I scraped out. I haven't used it yet with a large taper or even a pillar but I have no doubt it's going to work. It provides a sense of security that the lit candles won't topple out of their holder. I'll never be without it again!

This product is a clever and useful compound. It is very sticky and gooey — it has to be to do its job — and my only hesitation is that it doesn’t work well with non-paraffin candles, like flameless candles. (It actually caused mine to not turn on, since their activation point is in the base, which was covered in the compound.) I found that it eventually worked if I used the right amount and put it in the correct place, but things were a bit messy by the time I finally got it to work. Cleanup was difficult but definitely not impossible. Basically, if I were using traditional wax candles I’d really like and recommend this product. I’m sharing my thoughts for those who are going flameless/ battery candles, for they might want to reconsider. (it might be helpful if the company that makes this gave suggestions on what will cut through the compound. Water and soap are not very useful but there’s probably something that would clean it right up.)

This product is brilliant for holding candles in place in a hurricane vase for wedding table centrepiece. This tiny pot is enough for 30 candles order the larger size if you have more than 30

Wonderful product. I have been purchasing this for many years. You don’t need much at a time and it keeps candles from tipping. They stay nice and straight. Easy to clean holder afterwards. Great product
