Biggest downside is it is remote controlled only. No auto setting.
Kind of a complicated device. Had to watch a video to figure it out. I wish it could be set to "auto" as well. Our biggest issue with our dog is a Catahoula breed problem. It's a common habit in younger dogs of the breed to do a charging bark before thinking. He does this to people who he knows and lives in the house. It's a breed flaw. We love him so much and hoped to teach him to think first. Unfortunately, a remote is not always close at hand when he does his charging so having an auto mode that you could set with warning vibration and sound before a shock would be better. We ended up purchasing another straight bark collar which works better for our needs and has been beneficial in his training. While remote trainers I'm sure may be good for other issues, it simply my wasn't consistent enough to train our dog to stop his behavior.

Remote stopped working after a few months
I would have given this product 5 starts, but the remote control just stops charging and I have only had the product a few months. Other than that issue, when it was working properly, it was great. It has great range and I love the different settings on it, from very low to high, beep to vibrate, vibrate to shock. I almost never had to use the shock option. I'd just beep the collar and it was enough to get my dogs' attention. The collar was used between both my 7 year old male boxer and 7 month old female boxer.

Once we managed to sync the responder and transmitter worked like a champ
For an inexpensive training collar this little gem does the trick. The only drawback - trying to sync it the first time with the transmitter. Once we managed to sync the responder and transmitter worked like a champ. Great for training in the house/yard. I live on a small farm and I just hit the transmitter once or twice and my little guy comes running. He no longer thinks he can catch the cars, trucks, and tractors that drive by my house. As long as the collar is on he knows what will happen if he tries. Highly recommend this for small dogs.

Control is confusing to use.
Collar requires frequent charges and can't be left on animal for extended periods of time. Control is confusing to use. Difficult to make connection with long or thick haired dogs. We left on too long and it caused sores on the dog neck, which was our fault. However, it could be a good tool for the right dog.

This product was fantastic in the beginning but now it doesn't hold a charge. I've had it plugged in for a week now trying to get a charge so I can start training my next dog and if it's not plugged in it won't work.

Cheap and does the job. My dog is being more obedient. Doesn't work all the time though. As in it loses connection from remote to collar even while standing near each other. The only way to restore connection is to press the button on the dog collar.

TRAINPARK DOG TRAINING COLLAR
A great training tool, adjustable shock and vibrate. most of the time only have to push the button to make the beep noise on the collar and it gets the dogs attention. Would certainly purchase again.UPDATE: July 2019 This training collar was well worth the money still working great, a great training tool. Really like that the setting are adjustable, I would not recommend using the 100% setting on the shock mode on a small dog, 10% was enough for my dog, but usually the beep or vibrate set at 100% worked well.

Great in the middle product.
Got in September 17 quit working by January of 18. Plastic tabs all broke off in no time. Good unit. Controllers iffy. Vibrate is great sou d is great shock was the first to go. Just quit working one day. Not other dog friendly. If a pup sees this its the first thing they go for. Especially when it is on another dog.
