⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ LIFE-CHANGING! I have been a tampon user for YEARS and honestly thought I'd use them forever. After learning more about some of the potential risks associated with tampons, I started looking for alternatives and decided to try the Flex Cup. Unfortunately, cups just weren't for me—I found it uncomfortable and a little painful to insert and wear. Luckily, the disc that came with it completely changed my experience. It was SO much easier to insert, and once it was in place, I genuinely forgot I was even on my period. I wore it through my normal daily routine, including long shifts at work, and had ZERO leaks. After seeing how well it worked for me, my boyfriend surprised me with the reusable version, and I've had the same amazing results. Only slight downside of the disc is that removal could be a little messy at first, but honestly, the overall experience of it is worth a little mess! For me, it has been a total game-changer. No more pads, no more tampons, no leaks, and so much more comfort. I only wish I had tried it sooner! Writing this in hope someone else feels the same way I do hehe :)

I can’t believe I waited so long to try the Flex Disc! I’ve been using it for four cycles now, and I honestly haven’t gone back to pads or tampons. It’s been such a game changer for me. Once you get the hang of inserting it, it’s comfortable, reliable, and easy to forget you’re even on your period. I love how much more convenient it is compared to traditional period products. The only downside is that removing it can get pretty messy. I definitely recommend taking it out in the shower if you can—it makes cleanup so much easier. Overall, I absolutely love this product and don’t see myself ever going back. If you’ve been thinking about trying menstrual discs, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a chance!

First off, I’ve been using both cups and menstrual discs for years. They. Are. The. Best. I bought light “period underwear” for small leaks which I only have to use on my heaviest days. More on that later. Both cups and discs are cramp-free. Read that again. No more cramps. I don’t know the magic but if cramps ruin your life this information might just save it. Totally worth the learning curve! You also shouldn’t feel them while you are wearing them. If you do, you should try a different one, since not all discs/cups are created equal! I started my journey with another brand of discs which I could feel and leaked frequently. This one is the best one I’ve personally tried, but know if you’re built differently then perhaps this one might be problematic for you, while another brand works perfectly. Don’t be afraid to experiment. For heavy bleeders: discs are great for those first couple of days or so. They self-empty when you go to the bathroom, which means you don’t have to ever switch out period products ever again in public bathrooms. Truly, you only need take it out at the end of the day and replace it with a new one! Easy peasy. Beginner friendly since they are disposable. No washing or sterilizing like the cup requires. I know that really grosses out some people. Just toss it. Downside is, you will have to buy them monthly just like most other period products. Not so with the cup (there are discs designed to be reused as well but I do not personally have experience with them, and this review is about this disposable one anyway). Let’s talk disc leakage. It should be minor, unless it gets dislodged during a restroom break. This is my biggest frustration with discs. Sometimes it’s good, but it’s recommended to check its placement after using the bathroom since it sometimes gets out of its place. If you don’t catch it, then it won’t do it’s job. Since they are designed to empty out you may find they might leak with, say, a badly timed sneeze or cough even if it’s in properly. Even so, a light back up pad is normally all you need in such circumstances unless it was very full to begin with. If you feel a leak starting, head to the bathroom. Most of the time that means it is overfull. A light liner is usually all you need for these leaks if caught right away. To sum up: discs are not totally leak-free, but that is actually what makes them so amazing for heavy bleeders, since they freely “leak” into the toilet. Unfortunately they can shift during that process so it’s not totally set-and-forget it, either. Oh wait. Period sex? There is DEFINITELY a learning curve with this. Not so much leak-wise (though I wouldn’t try it if it’s full), but the guy can feel it. Keep that in mind and start slow. There was a BIG difference in this area between this brand and the other one I have tried. This one wasn’t as “sharp”, although hubby is still not a fan so I’m not sure I can recommend it. Cups! Cups are virtually leak-free in every sense with the proper fit. They are not nearly as “one-size-fits-all”: shorter, taller, wider, skinnier, firmer, and softer versions means you may have to try multiple brands and styles before you find one that’s perfect for you. With a proper fit, you should not be able to feel it. They do not self-empty, which means you have to take them out, dump them, and reinsert if they get full. However, in my experience by day 2 or 3 you can easily go all day without having to dump it. I’m a heavy bleeder. If you are a light bleeder, you should be able to use the cup from day 1 for a leak-free period. Outside of the initial “cavity blood” making its way out (the stuff that was already there before you put the cup in - quite minor), you could honestly go without a liner and be good all day as long as your bleeding isn’t heavy enough to fill it up. After day 2 or 3, I normally do this myself. I wear regular underwear and not even a liner for back up. That’s how leak-free it is. With a cup, there should be no sign of your period until you dump it out at the end of the day. No cramps, no blood. 5 stars. You do have to wash it, so “dealing with it” is messier in that sense, maybe. They say to boil it on a stove to sterilize it between cycles, but I find throwing it in the dishwasher works great (it’s only after I’ve already washed it, but if that freaks you out then do what makes you comfortable). I recommend owning at least two cups to let them “breathe” between uses: I don’t personally use the same one non-stop for 7 days even with proper washing habits if I can avoid it. To sum up: I hand down prefer cups over discs on lighter days, because I can completely forget about it all day. No “reminders” when I go use the bathroom. On heavy days, I sometime do a cup, sometimes I do discs. A disc and light liner is easy to keep in your car or purse if you’re caught off-guard while you’re out. That’s it! I've been using the reusable flex disc since it first came out many years ago. It's much more comfortable then the disposable discs. I have heavy periods, so I love the self dumping. Self dumping is when the disc empties its self out every time you go to the bathroom. Which is really great and makes It much easier then menstrual cups because those need to be taken out to be emptied and then reinserted. And that is a messy and inconvenient process when using a public restroom. The disc does need to be removed and washed every 12 hours. This can be messy so I sit on the toilet and wear a disposable glove to take it out, wash it out in the sink, and put it back in. I do this when I wake up in the morning and at night before I go to bed. It's very comfortable and I don't feel it at all. Sometimes I would have trouble emptying my bladder with the menstrual cups but I don't have issue at all with the disc. It also works fine for period sex, but make sure you empty and wash it before you do the deed ;) I always wear a panty liner with it. It is expensive but i used my first disc for many years before i finally replaced it. So i saved a ton of money not buying tampons and is infinitely better for the environment. Live my dusc, Works great highly recommend.

I've tried pretty much every period product out there (pads, tampons, menstrual cups, and menstrual discs) and i use them all. sometimes I even use two products together (pad+tampon my go to duo), depending on where I'm going and how heavy my flow is that day. there isn't one perfect option for every situation, and I switch between them depending on what I'm doing. the first time I tried the flex menstrual disc was before a brazilian laser hair removal appointment. i knew a tampon or menstrual cup would technically be fine, but I still wasn't comfortable with the possibility of the tampon string or the little stem of the menstrual cup being visible. even though the cup sits higher inside the body, the stem can sometimes peek out when your pelvic muscles are relaxed, like when you're lying on your back in the butterfly position. since the menstrual disc sits differently and doesn't have anything hanging outside the body, it seemed like the perfect solution. I inserted the disc around 8 a.m. before heading to work and completely forgot it was there. i went through my entire workday, had my laser appointment later that afternoon, and everything went perfectly. it was comfortable, completely invisible, and I never felt like it was there. i was honestly impressed. the only downside came later. i got home around 6 p.m., and the second I got out of my car, it suddenly started leaking. it was honestly a disaster and pretty disappointing. looking back, though, I had been wearing the same disc for about 10 hours on a fairly heavy-flow day, so I probably just pushed it past its limit. even though discs can hold a lot, they're not magic. on heavier days, they still need to be emptied or changed regularly. i also have to mention that inserting and removing a menstrual disc can be pretty messy, especially on heavier days. unlike a tampon, you're definitely going to get your fingers dirty. removal can also be tricky because the disc sits tucked into a small pocket just behind your pubic bone. if it gets pushed a little farther back than usual, it can be difficult to reach the rim with your finger to hook it and pull it out. one thing I kept hearing before trying a menstrual disc was that you can have sex while wearing one. of course, I had to test it. i'll be honest, it didn't work out the way I expected. based on my experience, I think it might work for some couples, especially if your partner is smaller or if your anatomy is different. the disc kept getting pushed farther inside. with penetration, the disc kept getting pushed farther inside so I could barely reach it afterward. removing it became much more difficult than usual, and honestly, the whole experience wasn't worth it. if you're buying a menstrual disc mainly because you've heard you can have mess-free period sex with it, I'd keep your expectations realistic. I've also seen a lot of people say that menstrual discs help reduce period cramps. personally, I can't really agree or disagree with that because I usually don't get menstrual cramps, so I didn't notice any difference. overall, I'm really glad I tried the flex menstrual disc. it has become another option, especially for situations where I don't want a visible tampon string or menstrual cup stem. It's comfortable, holds a lot, and once you get used to inserting and removing it, it's easy to wear. just be mindful of how long you've had it in on heavy-flow days.

I started using discs a few years ago after I got an IUD. Before that I used a Diva cup. Initially, I was so frustrated. It took me a few cycles to really understand where it needed to sit, and even after that I would have issues with auto-dumping when I sneezed or coughed, or when sitting up after sleeping through the night. I tried a few different brands, really just cheap generic discs, and always selected the smallest size since I haven't given birth before. A few months ago, I made the decision to remove my IUD because it was causing massive bleeding for at least a week every cycle, but wanted to continue using a disc because it really is amazingly comfortable and easy to use once you get used to it. I've seen the Flex disposable discs and have never used them, but was drawn to the reusable option because other reviews said it had a firm rim and a good standard size, and lord were they correct. This disc is amazing. I know some people might hear "firm rim" and think it sounds uncomfortable, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Because it doesn't give, it stays perfectly tucked into place even if you move around a bunch or tense to sneeze or cough. It also makes it easy to know that it's back in place after you go to the bathroom, because you can literally feel it "pop" behind your pubic bone with your fingers. Trust me, you will not feel it inside you. And because of the little notch in the rim, it's even easier to fold and insert than a standard reusable disc. I've never had any issues with wondering if it's fully opened. My period was still ridiculously heavy for the first cycle after I had my IUD removed, but even now that it's returned to a much more manageable flow, this disc is a dream come true. I can't say enough good things about this. It's made my periods feel like no big deal, which was not always the case. And yes, it does result in less cramping than you would get with a tampon. I'd recommend it to anyone with a period, whether it be your first or your hundredth. My grandma says "they've finally found a cure for periods"!

My period supplies have become my beasts of burden. I am a very heavy bleeder during my cycle and find myself going between different menstrual supplies. I used to wear menstrual cups along with level 5 pads on the regular as backup. However, after getting an IUD, I worried about pulling on the device strings during removal, so I now use menstrual discs, tampons, and pads. At work, I wear tampons because they’re convenient and less messy than any of the discs that I’ve tried. However, at home and while running errands, I rely on an assortment of menstrual discs and pads. So of all of the menstrual discs that I’ve tried, the Flex has had the fewest leaks, and has held the largest volume of blood, but it also has had the messiest removal. The rim is firm, soft, and durable and has a notch in it. Supposedly, you’re supposed to pull the disc forward during wear just enough to let the blood flow out without fully removing the disc to allow for easy emptying, or just bear down and it will self-dump. However, that invariably leaves a fair amount of old blood in the cup and seems very unhygienic to me. In addition, I’ve found it very difficult to even just grasp the edge for removal, often requiring some contortion and multiple attempts at catching the edge enough to break the seal and pull it out- resulting in my hand- and not just my fingers- being a bloody mess. After owning one of these for a little over a year, the membrane of mine tore during a routine cleaning and so I have to replace it. I have multiple discs and used this only for 2-3 overnights during my cycle, during which I would wash this every morning before replacing it. At the end of my cycle, I would notice stains in the transparent material in spite of vigorous washing, so I would soak this in a half peroxide, half water solution overnight (btw, doing this completely destroys any stains and/or odors). This absolutely eliminated the stains, but now I’m wondering if that made the material more susceptible to tearing. For $35 and roughly a year and a half of usage, I guess I got my money’s worth. But then again, my other discs are just as old- and my Cora is even older- and still in excellent condition, so I’m torn. I still have my Cora and wear that during the end of my cycle when I’m not bleeding as much, because it holds smaller volumes. My Cora is easily inserted and easier to remove than my Flex. The Cora is also a much firmer disc and I still get minor occasional leaks with it. I have another couple of other discs that I wear sometimes, but the rims are too soft for my anatomy and they leak badly. I have a low cervix and I’m a heavy bleeder (on 1st three days of my cycle, I average one Ultra heavy tampon every three hours) and have yet to find a menstrual disc that holds as much as the Flex. And I really hate wearing ultra tampons that leave my cervix feeling abused- especially on cycle days 3-5 when my flow eases up and I can change it every eight hours. So my search continues. I might buy a Pixie or a Diva Cup Disc for my next purchase. Or I might try another Flex as it has the highest capacity that I’ve found on the market. But I’m still deciding.

Ok, so, every time I go to the reviews for products before I purchase anything (at least online). I’m always scouring through all different types of reviews to piece them together in hopes that I get a “real” review. So here is that review. This is my first menstrual cycle. I have used this product for. My cycle tends to start out heavy for the first few days and then slowly tapers off until I’m done. Normally my cycle lasts 7 days. CONS: 1. Doesn’t come with disc applicator, but luckily that can be bought separately. Also, get the disc applicator. It’s very a cheap necessity honestly. (If you’re familiar with tampons, this helpful little tool is like the plastic applicator that inserts a tampon into you.) 2. It can be a little tricky to get the disc inserted comfortably (if after you insert it and you feel some pressure just slightly pull it out/push it out a little bit but do not completely remove it from your body, that little bit of it being pushed out should help with that pressure. It’s normally because the disc is too high or too low. 3. Removing the disc from your body can be messy especially if you’re heavy- so hopefully blood doesn’t make you squeamish or I wouldn’t suggest using this product (remove it from your body over the toilet so you can dump out the excess before cleaning the disc). 4. Pricy but worth it. PROS: 1. Comes with 2 free discs and a carrying bag even though the disc lasts. 2. More sanity than pads or tampons. 3. Less oder 4. I didn’t get a UTI or an infection like I normally do using tampons or pads (like I said this was my first menstrual cycle I used this product) 5. Sex is cleaner. (I waited until after the heavy flow passed so no blood) Yes there might still be leakage if you are a heavy flow. Yes having sex can push the disc in you further but the disc is designed so it doesn’t get stuck. If you feel like you can’t reach it with your fingers, sit down, relax and push like you would do if you were constipated. 6. Saves you money cuz you won’t spend as much on period products. Definitely give these a try! I love these because it feels like you’re not on your period at all, just make sure you place it properly at the cervix! Pretty easy to learn!

This thing is amazing. I was using the disposable flex disc and this one leaks way less and is at more comfortable to put in. Both products helped with my bad cramps but obviously it’s nice not to have dispose of anything. It’s a bit harder to get out but you just have to get used to it. Overall I’m so happy to have found this!!

Couldn’t recommend it enough. I’m 28 and have never used a tampon, or cup in my life - pads only, so this was a completely new, and somewhat daunting experience. I was scared it would get stuck inside, which is the reason I never bought a cup, but this one seemed less likely to create a hard to break suction and get stuck, so I went for it. I definitely struggled the first couple tries to get it in properly, but on my 3rd attempt I did it perfectly and now have no issues. I have no leakage, I can’t feel it, and if I didn’t experience pain (I have Endo) then I wouldn’t even know I was on my period. Absolute game changer, sucks I’ve spent 14 years menstruating without this lol. Only downside is price, however I would pay that all day long for the benefits, and it is a bit messy changing it, but you only have to do it once every 12 hours, so it’s no big deal having a bit of a mess twice a day. And it’s super easy to take out which was my biggest concern, will never use another period product again

I bought the disposable discs because they were advertised as ‘mess-free period s.x’ and ‘barely noticeable.’ Honestly, I don’t see how that could be true. The ring is large, tall, and rigid, and both my partner and I could feel it, very uncomfortable. That said, I still find it a better alternative to tampons.
