Wood Fence Post Removal
Ordered this post removal tool a few weeks ago and finally had an opportunity to use it this weekend. There are no instructions with it. Perhaps it's self-explanatory to some but I will admit... took me a minute to find the best way to utilize the chain and leverage.First step is always going to be shoveling a bit. Try shoveling around all four sides of the post until you can somewhat wiggle / move it. I had some that I could only get to two or three sides and it was still feasible but harder.I went with a single loop around the wood post and connected the chains end hook to one of the links, securing the single loop. Then I just latched a link from the 'tail' of the chain onto the post pullers hook. Position the actual lever close to the post on whatever side has the most even ground. Begin cranking. As it begins to rise, you can reset and connect the post pullers hook onto a new link to gain more traction.

Heavy Duty
I am a disabled veteran and recently had cervical spine surgery, so yardwork is harder than most people. It took less than a minute to remove three posts. The tree farm installed the posts when I purchased a Tarawa pear, so they were in pretty deep. Simple to use, easy to store.

Faster then the tractor!
We use to pull t-posts with the tractor before buying this. I find this to be the cats meow. Slide a round cheater pipe in the handle and Steve Urkle could pull them out of this Ozark Mt. Ground.

Easy to use!
Makes easy work of pulling steel post out of the ground! Wish I had purchased this twenty years earlier.

Works great even in North Carolina red clay
Really easy to use. The arm tube is thick walled and doesn't bend. Pulls posts out that are two and a half feet deep in clay. Don't even need the chain but I'm glad it came with it.
