I have used a lot of different soaps in my 50+ years and this one is the best so far. It leaves my skin squeaky clean, but not dried out. It lathers very well. It has a nice woody scent and it cleanses my hair. It removes all of the buildup but doesn’t strip the hair of its moisture and makes it easier to comb. Having 4C hair, that makes a big difference because you don’t have to add all of the creams and lotions just to comb through your hair while you wash it. The versatility of this soap is tremendous. I have also noticed it is lightening up my dark spots on my arms and legs from my eczema breakout. Thank you for a high quality product.

This is the only thing that has successfully gotten rid of the KP that I developed a few years ago. I’ve tried everything from prescription lactic acid lotion, hydrocortisone, Tretinoin, scrubs, Azelaic acid, glycolic acid, SA lotions, Urea creams, and etc. Something told me to try pure African black soap, so I tried this. After one use, the prickly-ness was gone, but the bumps were still there. After two uses, my arms were smoother with fewer bumps. The more I used it, the smoother my skin got. Note: I did have a setback after I stopped using this for a while and realized what was causing my KP, which was biotin WITH KERATIN supplements (biotin alone doesn’t cause my KP, only the addition of keratin in the supplement causes it for me). I realized this when I started back taking biotin with keratin supplements and thought back to when I first started experiencing KP, and sure enough, I had started taking a similar supplement with keratin in it around that time. Anyhow, I stopped the keratin supplement, but the KP was being stubborn, so I started using this black soap again and the healing process began. I’ve tried a few different black soaps (Shea Moisture and two different Moroccan Black soaps), but they don’t give the results of the Plant Guru Raw African Black Soap.

facial use, effects, the jar: i've been using this as a face wash for about 10 days, 1-2 times per day. my skin has had slower progress than the warts but i have still noticed it feeling softer and looking smoother and glowy, and it's helped very much with my spots. i will note however that it doesn't remove makeup very well so i recommend using micellar water or something similar before using the soap. it's not too drying but i still use moisturizer. i cut up a little slab of it into cubes and put them in a jar since a little goes a long way (like a quarter of one of those cubes is enough). i like to take a little sauce type bowl and let a chunk of a cube sit in a small amount of water to dissolve and soften a bit, then lather with both the water and the chunk. it lathers very very well and just smells like natural unscented soap. almost comparable to the smell of soil but it's not an offensive scent at all. warts: now to the nitty gritty. i've struggled with warts on my hands for about 6-7 years. i've tried different treatments from the store and more natural treatments like apple cider vinegar, neither of which with lasting results so i resorted to trimming them when they grew. i literally had over 10 on my left hand, ranging in different sizes, before this soap. i was insecure about them and left them out of photos (hence the lack of "before" photos) and had grown used to them being there. now they're practically nonexistent. the only three that i can still see are the ones pictured, and by now they're smooth to the touch and so faint that they look like scars. it really feels like some kind of miracle since nothing else has worked. TLDR: natural but non-offensive scent. soft glowy skin, slow progress. doesn't remove makeup. doesn't dry out skin. fades/heals acne. amazing lather, little goes a long way. 6 year old warts on hands have shrunken and some disappeared. 10000% worth it, the size of the bar will last a very long time.

I absolutely LOVE African black soap, it leaves your skin feeling so clean; be careful though because at first it irritates my skin but it got better as time went on. Also, you definitely need moisturizer after using this because it is very drying but it's all natural so it's not all chemically which is nice. It seems to keep my acne at a minimum which is great, my diets not great so I still have some here and there but we're working on it. The big brick lasts me probably around 6 months to a year, I cut it into tiny cubes and store them in a Tupperware container and I suggest if you do this method that you keep the cubes small because a little bit goes a long way. I tend to cut them too big and end up wasting a lot of product because after you've already gotten a piece wet and lathered it, it's a little difficult to save it for later because it gets soft and kind of merges with the surface you put it on and is hard to remove. Overall with the size and thickness and everything you definitely get your moneys worth.

I really like the African black soap. Organic and no chemicals. This is my 2nd order.

Background: I didn't suffer from break outs in my teens and was known for my nice skin. Make up didn't touch my face until after I had my first child (at 22 y/o). Afterwards, my acne made up for lost time. I have tried so hard to recover and get my skin back to the days of no make up. I went to the dermatologist for a issue unrelated to my face and she took one look at me and prescribed some topical treatment for the discoloration and possible future skin break out. After about a month I just gave up. It wasn't the acne that bothered me so much but the hyperpigmentation and scars. I was inpatient with her treatment and didn't like the idea of putting steroids on my face. (1) I decided to drink more water before and during my menstruation. Results: Less hormonal related breakouts (2) Use a brush to exfoliate my face once a day or every other day Results: Small open pores appeared on my upper cheeks due to pressing too hard on my face. I started to use light pressure & the pores decreased. My face was much cleaner and didn't have the waxy feeling I use to get after washing my face (3) Pat dry my face with a paper towel after washing Results: My face is moist to the touch & not overly dry after use. No lint residue from towel either. (4) Used a gentle (use 2nd Cetaphil) cleanser and a Acid based cleanser (use 1st Thomas Roth) to wash face Results: By using the gentle cleanser after the acid cleanser my face was less irritated and dry (5) Use a toner (Glossier) at night only Results: Helped fade Acne scars (6) Neutrogena sunscreen mositurizer (spf 30 or 50, I think) Results: Gives skin a nice shine while protecting my skin from the sun I don't use a night cream because I haven't really saw the need for one. This regimen has helped my acne become nearly none existent. I still get the occasional pimple but I can deal with that. Product Review: Now to comes the African Black Soap. I just brought this product a week ago. I replaced all my cleansers with this soap and I use it before my toner. Can honestly say that I don't need to wear any makeup. This soap has made my skin so soft and even toned. My results have nearly completed my journey back to clear skin. I don't mind the smell of the soap, it lathers very well. I use it on my body & twice a day on my face. Morning and night, hot then cold water to finish. I will not be changing this regimen any time soon. I will be going to the spa for the very first time for a peel or something to treat the deep scars that I have. Other then that, I have no complaints.

It really scrubs so well….you will so fresh after using it but there’s not much of a difference
