These are my second pair, in as many weeks and going down a half size will fit you perfectly. You can keep the newly made Originals which are neither authentic nor worth the high price tag anymore. This color is a bit more expensive. I have a limp I walk with and it causes my shoes to wear out pretty quickly. So, I usually don't buy pricey shoes, as it seems pointless. So, when I saw these, normally I wouldn't get them, but they hold memories for me. I'm 40 and when I was a kid, my older brother and ppl wore these. They called them burnout shoes in the 70s, because all the stoner kids wore them, they said. I feel like I remember them when I was a kid in the 80s, but I know that hushpuppy stopped making them around that time. So, when I saw these, I said, those are it! Those are what I've casually been looking for since. Not a loafer, or other slip on, that, so I got it. I wasn't disappointed. Well made, maybe better than I remember. thick, sturdy material, thick sole. A simple shoe, but very comfortable. I think I'm going to try my best to preserve this shoe and keep an eye on my walk the best I can.
