The Switch controller really is the best controller I've ever used. I know that my view is ultimately subjective when it comes to controllers, but I definitely recommend this one. I never liked Sony's DualShock, and before this, my favorite controllers were the Gamecube controller followed by the Xbone controller. The Switch Pro controller, however, takes the cake.It is extremely comfortable and ergonomic, feels very solid in the hand, and registers inputs perfectly. The buttons feel great and I like that the sticks are tall and have large turning radii, which results in very smooth camera control and a superb sense of control over Mario or Link's running (the two videogame characters who, for me, achieve a perfect 1:1 relationship between player's input and character responsiveness). If you play Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey, you will know what I mean.I took mine apart to modify it with the Mascarry Pikachu/Eevee themed replacement parts and I gotta say...I can see why this controller is $70. It is engineered very well on the inside and I guarantee it will never come apart, even if dropped on the floor. Given that it includes HD rumble, an NFC chip for amiibo, and a gyroscope for motion aiming (especially on BOTW) it's really not a surprise that it's $10 more than the other controllers. Given, I'm sure we all agree that controllers shouldn't be so expensive, but at least I can tell you that you're getting your money's worth with the Switch Pro controller. If you have a Switch, treat yourself to at least one of these!

This is the first time I actually tried a Switch Pro Controller. They looked nice enough, but I had owned two Xbox elite controllers in the past and didn't think the Pro Controller would be in the same league. I was happily surprised! The controller actually feels wonderful! The handles feel good and comfortable in the hands, and the texture gives me plenty of grips. I also don't have to worry about any rubber grips peeling off, like both of my elite controllers, since the grips on the pro controller are just textured plastic.It also comes with its own rechargeable battery, unlike the elite controllers, which you have to pay additional funds for if you want a rechargeable battery.The only downside I can think of so far is that it only has digital triggers. The triggers do feel very nice, don't get me wrong, and they work perfectly for most games. They just wouldn't be as good for some racing games.It's true. the pro controller isn't cheap. It's $70 for the standard black one, but for me personally, aside from a couple of things, I prefer it over my Xbox Elite controllers, which were way more expensive.I think I will even start using the controller on PC as well (at least on games where I don't prefer a mouse and keyboard). I am quite happy with it, and I recommend others who haven't tried it yet give it a go.

We bought this pro controller for our son and the game Splatoon 2 for Christmas 2023 and he loves them both a ton! Well done Nintendo for making this, our son is a huge fan and this is worth the money if you can find it brand new like we did on Amazon! A must have for a huge Splatoon fan!

Buy the Pro Controller from Amazon, regardless of what variety. I suggest this because this is the 4th Pro Controller I've purchased since last August and I've had to return 2. The Controller is wonderful to use BUT they aren't very hardy. I've had to return the 2 I mentioned because the left joycons on both developed deadspots and weird behavior --like suddenly only being able to move sloooowly. (If you do some research you'll see that people try to blow out the white residue with air. You can do that, but the 'fix' doesn't last. With Amazon you can return for working controller if it's within the time limits.)With my last Pro Controller I was out of the time Amazon covered it so I'm returning it to Nintendo for repair. I purchased this controller so I don't have to go without. Really, the Pro Controller is just better than the Switch's joycons. It took me a day or so to adjust to the larger size (for my mom hands) and I can't go back.

Setup was extremely easy and I now wish I'd gotten a Pro controller much sooner. It feels way better to use this than the provided joy-cons - as it feels like an "actual" controller (albeit maybe bulkier if you're used to a PS4 or something - its probably closer to an XBox controller).No complaints at all. The colors/theme are fun.Yah, they're a bit expensive - but most console controllers are near the $100 range these days (heck, my PS4 controllers were $80 apiece).No real complaints. I don't have issues with it dropping connection, and pairing it was as easy as just connecting with the provided USB cable. Also, now my friends who got the original black Pro controller get to be jealous when I pull out the wonderfully lime green and neon pink Pro controller.

i was a little on the fence, unsure if what I saw in the picture was what I would get or if it would be some knockoff. Well, it came, and it was what I was looking for, and it works. So if you are on the fence or unsure, all I can say is. i got what I saw, and I'm happy. Good luck and happy hunting.

It’s a birthday gift, love this design. And the price is fair and shipment is fast

Mine came in the original box although I bought it “used”. Official Nintendo USB cable looked like it was in its original packaging and cable tie and appeared to never have been opened. The controller seemed to have seen little or no use. The controller is very comfortable to hold and use. The battery life is excellent and I have never seen it low on charge. The color scheme and art on the face of the controller is a nice touch. I bought it because it will stand out from my friends’ pro controllers which makes it clear which one is mine should the controllers get shuffled up.
