My pool guy and mother nature kept destroying the basket weight. Between tapping my skimmer basket on the railing and just the south Florida climate, I would loose the pool weights from the basket clip about every 3-6 months. Finally just grabbed this and the zinc was a bonus. I used some good zip ties to hold it to the bottom. Lasted past 6 months now and all is good. If a zip tie breaks, I don't loose the weight because I still have 2 attached.

Works great in a skimmer basket!

It seems to function fine. It comes with nylon wire ties. Don't rely on them because they seem to become fragile and break, probably due to the chlorine. Mine broke after 4 weeks, resulting in the zinc disk falling into my trash bin when I emptied the basket. I'm going to try stainless steel 316 bolt & nut for the next one.

I purchased the TonGass Zinc Anti-Electrolysis Sacrificial Anode after having to replace my spa's water heater (expensive although I bought an Amazon replacement). I've used anodes in household water heaters in the past and the anodes help reduce corrosion. This anode was easy to install; it is heavy enough to place in the spa's water return/filter area as the photo shows. It also came with cable ties that easily fit through the holes in the anode to another tie down, so installation in swimming pools and spas are simple. I'm hoping that, with this anode, the new heater will last longer than the old one did (13 years).

Appears to be good product. Good value for money

Used as a weight in our skimmer basket. It kept popping up when the pump turned on during the evening when we were unable to flip it back. It works well.

Probably going to return these. Not taking the chance that they aren’t 100% Zinc. Carbon steel introduced to a new pool would be catastrophic.
