I replaced the transmission on my Silverado . I purchased this unit because I needed a stable voltage to the battery to program the reman transmission . I set the voltage to13.5 volts and it worked as intended providing the necessary stable voltage recommended by the GM to successfully reprogram the transmission control module(TCM) . I would recommend if you are a DIYer and need to reprogram a module on any vehicle and you need stable voltage source to complete the job .

Worked perfectly to support recovery of my F-Pace's instrument cluster module and saved me $4k from not having to push through with the dealer's proposed part replacement.

Folks, if you're looking for something that works, do take a serious look at this one. I use Rheingold ISTA+ suite for BMW/MINI's; and the most frustrating thing is power regulation during those plugged-in sessions. If your car power is below 13 or so volts, ISTA will+ stop you from going further. Now, prior to using this unit, I've spent about 200 bucks a piece 3 times, because during this whole time, I didn't want to pay that much for power maintainer; but those just won't work. I've read so many forum comments that they've had success with those little boxes of AC/DC converters, much like what a desktop power supply unit resembles. But none of those have ever given me power over 12 or so volts. I was never able to properly run ISTA+. When I came across this unit, I decided to stop skimping on cost and just go for it. And in comparison to other choices, this unit is still on the economical side.Anyway, this unit works well, the touchpad buttons are responsive, and the way you control this unit is by toggling the buttons and look at the screen to get to the mode you want. This unit does what it says; I can set a voltage and it actually brings the correct volt into my car; fully recognized on ISTA+. For under 600 bucks, this is the only unit that works. It works so well that it warrants my lazy butt to write a glowing review here. So there you go, get this and you'll never need anything else.

Main purpose of me purchasing this is for live flash coding and programming for European vehicles. It has a total of 4 features. I did not use the voltage stabilizee function yet but i think it will be capable, it has a battery repair mode which works as long as your battery voltage is not too low otherwise it will not detect it. I have smaller chargers that detects low voltage batteries. I found out in order to be able to make it detect it is by using its jumpstart function until the amperage reaches 4amp then switch back to repair mode or charging mode and it will work. Note that some batteries cannot be recovered no matter what you do and this device is not to blame for it. It is quite easy to use, seems like a strong and solid build seriously and the colored screen is nice. I will update the flash programming feature when i test it.
