Warning: Potentially dangerous to 3.3V GPIOs

When this module is controlled by 3.3V tolerant GPIOs directly, there is a decent chance of frying their pads. Even if the GPIOs are configured as outputs in the device tree, there is still a few seconds during the boot sequence when they will be all configured as inputs. Because this relay module is active low, for those few seconds 5V Vcc (if you use the recommended 5V Vcc/JD-Vcc) will be present at the GPIO inputs and they will start sinking current. The LEDs will glow faintly. The solution is to split Vcc and JD-Vcc (remove the jumper), use 3.3V for Vcc and a separate 5V for JD-Vcc. The used optocoupler circuitry has a better transfer ratio at 3.3V than at 5V anyway. In general though, an Active High relay module is a better choice. So, Arduino: Yes, Raspberry Pi (ARM) or similar: With caution.

Works as expected

The media could not be loaded. Works as expected, no complaints. Remember to connect 5v to the VCC otherwise it won't work properly (3.3 is just too low). Have only tested with a prototype, but I'm sure it'll do fine once the project is complete.

Works as described, good instruction.

I'm using these in a custom HVAC controller and they work really well. I wish the overall footprint were a little smaller and there was an option with smaller relays.... but the product itself is nicely built, instructions good, and functions exactly as expected.

Good deal

Does what is supposed to do

Working great

Work as advertised on a project controlling stop lights driven by some feather modules.

Great way to get 8 relays for any project. Works great with Arduino R4.

I got this so I could have 8 relay outputs from an Arduino R4 Minima. This board works really well, and it's so easy to hook up. I made up a custom ribbon cable and that makes connecting it up very easy. Each relay has a status LED in front of it which makes programming much easier as you can get all your development done without actually having anything connected to the relay contacts. It's a very nice little board, I'm very happy with it.

Works great for my low voltage applications

I chose this device to use with a model train scenery, where it controls 7 separate HO scale carnival rides. When used with an Arduino and code that has random on off control, it gives the carnival rides the look of actual use of starting and stopping. I wired this, so that if the Arduino is off, the rides are constantly on, and of course, if the Arduino is on, then the random on off begins. This is been installed for four months, and seems to be working flawlessly.

Works great until it don't.

Worked great for my 8-relay MCU project, but then (1 of the 8) failed, so I had to add an individual relay module to replace it. (see pic) It's a little frustrating - but is what it is.
