Is there one for each shoe? Or is there just one insert in the package?

There's one for each foot. You need to put one in each shoe for them to work properly. Otherwise, you would be off balance when walking. I only placed 1 order for about ($10) and got both inserts. They do seem to help reduce the pain when I walk.

Can this be worn with my tennis shoes origional insole

I bought two pies if them and wear them with Hokas and Brooks running sneakers that have insoles so I believe they can be worn with tennis shoes as well.
