I feel like this doll was pretty reasonably priced for the quality and accessories. I like how it’s all plastic; i was gonna get an american girl doll or one of the walmart dupes but they have the stuffing in the stomach area. I got this for my boyfriend’s little sister to play with in the pool. Now she can have a mini her to play with and accessorize. I love all the cute accessories this comes with as well! I also love how she actually fits in the little swimming tube. It is a bit smaller than i thought but that’s my fault for not paying attention to size. The main reason i got this though was because something my bf’s sister said to me that made me cry. She’s only 4 but she’s a very wise and observant kid. She loves barbie and we were playing a barbie game on my phone. She turned to me and said “i like your hair you look like barbie”. I said “You’re too sweet but you’re the actual barbie”. She replied with “No, barbie don’t got this hair”. I BAWLED and I told her “barbie has no particular look, every girl is barbie. Every girl should feel like they can be barbie no matter what they look like. Barbie doesn’t any stereotypes. Barbie is a role model for young girls to look up to because she’s kind and can do anything she put her mind to”. It pains me that young girls feel like they can’t be barbie due to a certain appearance. I know barbie is more diverse now, but what she said pondered in my mind for a while. I want her to have a giant barbie, and a mini her. I want her to feel beautiful as she is and to grow up knowing she is barbie. So, i hope she’ll love this and know she is beautiful and the definition of barbie.
