17-LS22 Leather Sheath for 22" Machete, Beige

I purchased a Fiskars machete and since I had a small leather sheath for my pocket knife I wondered if there was a large sheath for my machete. There is! Very rugged and substantial this sheath fit my machete perfectly. I should say that it's a garden machete. I'm not living The Walking Dead out here or anything like that. Unfortunately my yard is plagued with Japanese Knotweed. I have to keep cutting it back and due to my painful hand arthritis I can no longer use hand held pruners. This helps me safely carry my garden tool to and from the patch of offending weeds and the leather is very solid and helps prevent me from getting injured. I just slide it on my belt and away we go. The cost is well worth it because honestly the quality if amazing. I am a fan!

Good quality leather and stitching. I recommend mink oil or something to condition the leather before use.

I have an old Tramotina machete that I needed a sheath for, and this does the job. Seems like it's well put together and good quality leather. It won't grip the blade of course, since it wasn't made for this specific model, but it does the job.

Very thick leather. Haven't worn it yet, so can't speak to the durability of the belt loop, but it looks VERY strong. The stitching seems quite solid also. The leather was quite dry, and I died it a much darker color before using flaxseed oil to condition. Than scratched it up a little bit with light sandpaper to "age" it a little. Turned out looking great!

Got this for my son and his machete. He likes it and it's pretty strudy but it does have a bit of a twist. Maybe to keep the blade tight in there, I'm not sure but it's not a huge deal.

Purchased this machete cover for my husband and he loves it. Very good quality and made very well. He already had the machete itself and this cover fit it perfect. Now when it's not in use it's protected and when he has to walk through the woods with it he can carry it hands free. A must if you have a machete.

I never cared for canvas sheaths and the Kydex ones are too stiff and loud when they hit things. The leather here is quite thick, sewn with waxed thread and riveted at stress points. It fit my Cold Steel machete perfectly. My only question is why they didn't dye the leather a darker color? It needs conditioning when it arrives, so I gave it a light coat of tan shoe polish after I used the saddle soap.

Um, this was much higher quality than I was expecting. Terrified someone in the Amazon will want to trade it early into my trek. It's thick, and feels solid as a tank. I used brown shoe-polish to make it a dark/mocha brown. Easily fits my 22", but also my 24" - thankfully the extra 2" of that one isn't sharp. Anyway, I trust this sheath, and am happy with the purchase.
