Guide Tools Pro-Series Slim & Strong Fly Box - 7 Styles - High Capacity & Versatile

I am a fly fishing guide, so I carry a lot of fly boxes in my pack. This box is perfect for loading up with emergers and nymphs. The latch is solid as is the construction over all, yet still lightweight. The slim profile allows me to stack multiple boxes and keep everything well organized and ready to use, so I spend less time searching for flies and more time working on some of my clients' terrible casting skills. Just awful, you guys know who you are... The magnetic sections are great for midges and smaller dry flies. The foam is a good thickness and stands up to the abuse of constant use. I will be purchasing another 5 or 6 of these boxes to replace my worn out (and expensive) boxes from other manufacturers. Great box at an outstanding price. Highly recommend this product, whether you are a weekend fly fisherman or a full time guide. Best of luck on the water, and for goodness sake, get out and work on your dang casting skills.

These boxes have been incredible for me! I am a guide who works a combination of freestone and tailwater streams. It is really hard for me to find a box that is thin enough, yet functional enough for me to carry both my big attractor flies, as well as my smaller emergers and midges. This box was exactly what I was looking for. The magnets are a great addition and really make it easy for me to keep a few of my top midge patterns within easy reach, all while my big attractors were situated with plenty of room in the slots. I can't say enough how important the slim profile is for me. I where a chest pack and bulky boxes make it very difficult for me to carry the flies I need. I can easily fit multiple of these boxes into my chest pack, with zero problems, and still have room for other gear. To top it all off, the boxes were shipped to me the day I ordered it and I received them the day after! I definitely highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a slim, yet highly functional box!

These are quality boxes at a very reasonable price! I now have 10 of the 18 compartment and 2 of the 6 compartment. I’m a fly junkie with over 2,500 flies in my kit bag and bought these as part of a new system to better store my flies. Prior to these I used very nice, two sided, waterproof boxes, and while they had great capacity, the slotted foam system destroys hackle, feet, and other delicate features on the bottom of a fly.These compartment boxes eliminate that drawback and are every bit as good as my previous style in all other respects. I keep the complete life cycle (nymph to spinner) of 2 or 3 insect types in each 18 compartment box, keeping ~4 pieces of each tie per compartment.The only downside is while these shallow compartments are ideal for most flies they have limited capacity for many dry flies (box depth is 5/8”, inside is less). For example, you’ll be limited to ~2 size 16 Parachute Adams per compartment or you risk damaging the parachute and hackle. Order came quickly. Fly box is of good build quality and exactly as described. The magnetic compartments are a neat feature for tossing in and removing those flies that you use most often. The magnets are strong enough to hold flies in place, but not so strong that there's ever trouble getting flies out. Great deal for a quality product.

Anything larger than a # 16 will get it’s hackle squished ( but you knew that when you bought it ... it’s dimensions are exactly as specified ).*** BUT4. NO : it is NOT waterproof . “ Silicone seal keeps flies dry “ is not a correct claim .Reason that I am being so harsh on an otherwise OK and reasonably priced fly box is because I have dozens of boxes that are not waterproof, and the only reason I bought this one is because I thought it was sealed and waterproof from reading the product description. So I was disappointed .

Great little fly boxes. I have three now and they've been much tougher than the pricey ones I've bought. They are solidly built, and shut tight. Shut's tight enough, and I had one under water long enough and at such a depth that I think would merit it an IPX7 rating. I forgot it in my back pocket while wet-wading. That's how slim and light it is.

I really like this fly box. It is slim, so I can carry a bunch of them in my pack at the same time, but it also seems durable and well made. I won't worry about this box letting in water on a rainy day.I also really like the magnet compartments. The magnets are strong and held my flies even when I turned the box upside down and shook it, but I can still get them out easily.This is a perfect box to have for fishing tailwaters: I am putting midge and BWO nymph and emerges patterns in the magnet compartments and my dry flies and bigger nymphs in the foam slots.

Great all around fly box! Slim enough to fit 2-3 in a vest pocket. The combination of slit foam and bigger magnetic sections is a great feature. Now I can keep small size 18-22 flies in the same box as bigger flies for a one stop shop when tying a new rig. I will be buying more
