AWESOME QUALITY WORKS GREAT EASY TO USE

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to upgrade my current multimeter and the Klein MM720 seemed to check all the boxes. Great value for the features, excellent display, rugged. I needed the LoZ feature and the choice of meters is limited.Upon my first use of the Klein on a 12v car battery I thought something was wrong. I stuck the probes on and surprisingly it took a few seconds to come up with a reading. Hmm. So I tried again and same thing. Tried other batteries and same thing. It was taking a couple+ seconds to stabilize on a reading.After reading some other posts I eventually found others with the same comment and I knew it was not me causing it. For whatever reason this meter is just slow to show. Too slow to show for me. It might be just fine for others but I need a quicker response time. I read reviews prior to purchase but just not enough to weed out uncovering this particular DC response time.I found you can set the DC range manually and if you set it within the range you are measuring you will get a very quick response. This meter as with most meters comes up Auto ranging. And that Auto ranging seems to be where the slow down originates. Setting it to manual though takes a little extra effort especially if you want that quick response each and every time you power up. Miss the correct manual range and you get an OL until you set the right range thus taking even more time.I also did a couple checks with AC voltage and the gap between the two is less than DC but the Fluke 117 is still quicker. I did not end up checking any other performance parameters of the MM720.I decided to just make the jump in investment to the Fluke 117. That got me the LoZ of course plus automatic AC/DC selection and built in NCV tester or voltage stick. I lose temp but that is ok. Downside it is considerably more expensive. More than I wanted to spend but Merry Christmas to myself I guess. I expect it to last a very very long time.The video shows the comparison between the 117 and 720 clearly showing a pretty close to immediate result vs a couple seconds using a slightly discharged 12v UPS battery. Could very well be a non-issue for many users.All in all this Klein MM720 would likely be a great tool addition for many. It can't be beat for the features it provides. Performance is not where I need it to be in the DC voltage area.From what I experienced I would still recommend the Klein MM720 especially compared to the multitude of extremely inexpensive meters you find. It would still be a great investment for many at its price point.

Good quality multimeter that has excellent build quality. Great value for the price. I really would not suggest a unit less expensive that this if you want to rely on the measurements in the long run.

What I needed to get the job done much easier than my last multimeter

Im just a home gamer, and this is way more than adequate for my purposes, the interface takes some getting used to, but overall im pleased with it
