Manta MIPS Helmet

Love this helmet. I live in the upper Midwest where it's not that hot. Ventilation is more than adequate. The helmet is light, extremely comfortable, and looks great.

Elegant, comfortable and fresh helmet

Just an outstanding product in every respect. Buy it, have some fun comparing the ride quality on the back and forth with your other standard/generic helmet, then take a peek in the mirror and marvel at how sharp you look!

First of all, this is a fantastic looking helmet. Fit is good and the protection it provides is class leading (at least from the specs). The weight is on par with similar helmets and the magnetic clip strap is super easy to use and I think is genius. My only complaint is that on longer rides I start to notice that it isn't super comfortable for some reason. I can't put my finger on exactly what the issue is, but I find I try repositioning the helmet a little in search of the right spot. It's hardly a big deal and I will continue to use it with confidence that it will protect me if/when I crash.

The MET Manta helmet is one of the most comfortable helmets I've worn. This probably depends on head shape, but if you are oval this is great. It's lightweight and easy to adjust. It does seem a bit noisy while riding; I would have expected a helmet that is billed as being designed for aero to somehow be quieter. But it doesn't detract from it's use. It isn't as open some other helmets, and I was concerned it might be too hot for the summer, but so far it seems fine. The same closed-design might b e a benefit in the cold. The only downside to me is the magnetic buckle. This seems to fiddly to me, particularly if wearing gloves. I wish MET made this helmet with the standard plug-in buckle.

I replaced my training helmet which is an open one with a lot of air flow. I live in houston and training in the summer time is pure torture. I have had my training helmet for over 10 years and after examining it I decided I need to replace it. I was a little worry about getting a “closed “ helmet as a training helmet but after having used this for the past week I am sold! It actually keeps my head cooler than my open helmet! There are two vents in the front that draws air through and exits through the back. As a bonus for those of you looking for an additional boost, it is aero! For the same watts that I was putting in with my other helmet, I am faster by at least 1mph over the duration of the ride. Highly recommend this helmet.
