Will the large muffin cups fit inside these?

These are not large enough for that. To give you a better idea, i put Oreos in one compartment for my kids snack, I can fit 3 Oreos stacked, and 1 Oreo on its side to where i can still put the lid on tightly.

Is it normal for these to smell like rotten avocado right out of the box? Washed them and still had slight rotten smell.

I do T think that’s normal. I have hypersensitive senses and still didn’t smell anything that offensive before (or after) my initial wash. I hope this helps.

What material is the lid made of?

I think the lid might be plastic. Though it feels like recycled plastic if that helps.
