Super easy install and looks fantastic. If you’re planning on buying, make sure you have a tool to crimp the clamp that goes around the bottom of the knob. Anything that can squeeze relatively thin metal together, pair of scissors might work but don’t crimp it too hard.

I liked the fit and function, however the lock ring provided does not have enough of the clamping portion to sufficiently tighten it down. I recommend carefully removing the original with a screwdriver wedged to pry ot off and reusing it.

For the price it is really quite fair what you get. Great looking shifter (that goes with my black and red theme), easy to install, fits nicely. At first the knob wasn't quite straight, but after working at it and using it for a few months it has straightened out. Plastic is a little sharp in some areas at first but it wears in. Very satisfied, although I may want to switch it to a leather knob of a similar style later on...

Fit my 04 GTI perfectly and was easy to install. Looks great and feels good in the palm.

Nice update look and feel from the original 2001 shifter knob in my 2001 Wolfsburg Jetta! Minimal tools for install and basic mechanical skills needed.

The products is great for the price, shift knob does feel a little cheaper then OEM, but looks great, wanted something cheap temporarily and was getting sick of the dirty OEM knob and boot. Plenty of YouTube vids out there on installation.

Look at the images attached. You see those groves about half inch below the plastic on the metal shaft? Well that plastic clip is suppose to slide down all the way past those groves so when you clamp the plastic the clip holds on to the groves and prevents the boot from going back up. In my case this is not made for this car and wasted my time with this product. Buy from a different seller.

Product fit as it should, plastic has a seam that is pretty sharp, was hoping it would be smooth in the hand, for the price it does the job

Delivered way before the promised date, very beautiful and fits like a glove within 3 minutes. I’m now waiting to see if the boot is gonna last or if it’s gonna crack after a few weeks, like the previous one that I bought from a VW dealer. For now, I definitely recommend this product.

Decent quality, great price. Comes with the metal crush ring for securing the knob to the shifter rod.
