Perfect for Cooker Hood
Really well made, I used on a Neff cooker hood and the flaps opened with ease even on the the lowest setting, some reviews suggest that the spring is too strong, seems perfect for a cooker hood especially if placed as close to the fan as possible, I doubt a tumble drying for example would have enough power

Well made and effective 150mm backdraught shutter
This 150mm Backdraught Shutter seems to be well made and gives every impression it should last. The spring is nicely judged as the flap opens readily from the lowest flow setting on my cooker hood. The shutter provides a good seal to the elements and doesn't rattle in strong winds. My only caveat would be that the housing might have been better in stainless rather than galvanised steel, as the shutter passes appreciable quantities of condensation from cooking. Hence fours stars.

Quality
Very good quality, made to last. Works extremely well.

Needs a very high powered fan.
Seems to be of good quality but it doesn’t work with my vent Axya Svara fan. It needs a much more powerful fan.

Easy to fit
Slotted neatly between fan & hose; rubber gasket ensures a decent seal when flaps are closed. Springs were a little too strong for vertical use (mounted on ceiling fan) but was easy to twist the arms round so that the flaps were simply held down mostly by gravity; utility room is far warmer now, and fan still works when it needs to.

Very well made
The springs need some finagling if whatever device you have hasn't got enough puff. Very well made though.
