We love these lights. It is plastic but that's great because they're lightweight. Really easy to install too. I like the choice of being really bright or not so bright. Of course once you set it, it's stuck there. But that's okay because really why would I want to change the ambience in my bathroom cubby.

The only reason I dinged one star is that the screw heads that are included don't fit through the slotted holes in the fixture, you know the ones with a round part and then a narrower part so you can put in the screws, pop the fixture over the screws, then rotate slightly? The screw heads are too big. So screwing these into the box, while juggling the screw gun in one hand and the fixture itself in the other and not being able to see the screw hole in the box was a pain in the butt. Lots of cussing involved. But I did get them installed. Other than that, the fixtures themselves are light, look good, and there's a 3-way toggle switch to choose between a very bright white, a medium white, and a soft white setting. No documentation about this, but its on there. The fixture itself feels a little flimsy, but once on the ceiling it looks good. Only other issue is the LED's are all built-in. No replaceable bulbs. So time will tell how long it lasts. If bulbs go out, you've got to replace the entire fixture (seems that is the future of light fixtures these days). The pro side to that is this is a very thin fixture ... maybe 2 inches deep in all.

We had an old incandescent ceiling light globe in the laundry room, which doubled as a bug attraction and storage device. I decided to replace the vintage lamp. After removing the vintage device, I found it easy to mount and wire it to the old box. It really took just a few minutes. I did not bother with a remote control or dimmer as it went into a laundry room. It's very bright, the quality is decent, and I assume that it will last many years. If not, the replacing the lamp won't be much more difficult than replacing a bulb in a globe. Anyone with a basic understanding and respect for electricity should be able to install this.
