MotorcraftVapor Canister Valve - CX2695

My ford explorer wouldn't start everytime that I would fill it up with gas and the check engine light turned on. The mechanic used the scanner and stated it was a bigger issue and it was going to be expensive. Luckily after doing some research on Google, YouTube and tik tok I found the problem. This part solved my issues, it literally took 10 minutes to change the part and I went to pump gas right away and it started up without a problem. Also this piece got here 3 days earlier than it stated. Great piece amazing timing and works great!!

It worked perfectly for my 2014 Edge 3.5.

I am definitely not a mechanic and I installed this in 5min.

Works on 2013 Ford Edge Limit 3.5 engine .. Got the check in light code for the O2 sensors read up and stated that its most likely this part. I pulled off the old part and was able to blow through it and that indicates its bad.. Got the new one and wasnt able to blow through it. Install took 20 minutes.. No more check engine light.. Fyi to remove the old one. remove the electric clip and then the 2 back bolts this will allow you to get to the push in clip to release the hose. Once i did that it came right off. If I would have done this first i would have been a 5 min install.

To start off, this part was clearly quality. I had an issue less then a year ago with the purge valve in my 2013 Ford Edge, and had tried to be a good online purchaser and bought the cheapest version I could find. The part didn't look or feel as solid as the valve I pulled out of my rig, but I thought "Oh well, maybe I'll get lucky!". Flash forward to a month ago when I stopped to fill up my gas, and low and behold, the cheap find failed leaving me unable to start my car. (Thanks to the random folks who pushed me out of the way!)I immediately knew what the problem was, and went straight back to Amazon and ordered the Motorcraft brand. I installed the piece in 5 minutes in my driveway and haven't looked back.Moral of the story: You get what you pay for!
