Works fine but ensure you have access to a computer with a CD drive to get the drivers required.
Works well - simple to set up. Drivers installed once I used the accompanying CD. This was a bit cumbersome as I first had to use a laptop with a CD drive, get the drivers, put them onto a USB and then use that USB with my intended computer. Once this was done, it worked fine though.

A worthy Bluetooth upgrade. Just don't expect 100M range.
Anyone with an atom of common sense would look at the claimed 100M range of this dongle and be sceptical. And you would be right. I'm sure that it achieved the claimed 100M in some Chinese laboratory, but here in the real world, with double glazed windows, brick walls and wooden doors, you are not going to get anything close to that. But for the purpose I purchased it, it works beautifully! I have an entertainments room in my house, controlled by a Home Theatre PC. The PC is operated by a mini multimedia wireless keyboard/trackpad. The keyboard can work via it's own dedicated wireless dongle, or Bluetooth. Even though the distance from the keyboard and the PC is no more than 15 ft, line-of-sight, the wireless connection has always been flaky, with the Bluetooth connection not much stronger. Well, no longer. After installing this long-range adapter, the keyboard can be used anywhere in the room. It has also solved an issue I did not realise was connected to the Bluetooth signal strength. Ever since I bought the keyboard, if I used the trackpad, and kept my thumb on the pad, the mouse cursor would hunt around slightly, even though I was not moving my thumb. With this adapter, that behaviour has completely disappeared, the cursor remains stationary. So it must have been related to the poor Bluetooth strength. Just so people are aware, like all Bluetooth aerial dongles, you cannot simply plug this device in. You need a little bit of basic computer knowledge to install it properly. The adapter comes with a CD containing drivers for all flavours of Windows going back to Windows 7. You have to disable all Bluetooth antennas on the PC, via Device Manager, then install the Realtek drivers, followed by plugging in the adapter. You will then need to re-pair any devices previously connected via Bluetooth. Your devices will show as 'paired', but they will not connect until re-paired to the new antenna.

NO more Stubbies
After going through various TP-Link and other branded 'Stubby' transmitters for my main old PC I decided to bite the bullet on one with an aerial that didn't cost an arm and a leg and didn't require plannng permission... My newer devices have built-in Bluetooth and Wi-fi which use the chassis as an aerial. Result? Superior coverage, as you'd expect. But the old HP Elite Desk G1 (Don't judge) was before these new fangled developments so needs an adapter. The below says it all:1. Choice of 4 different 'Stubby' USB adapters, no more than 10 meters on the same floor2. This device allows up to 50+ Metres on both floors.Sound quality is top notch. I'm not interested in A2DP and\or AVRCP etc. It's just to hear audio from my main machine whilst I walk about the house doing..'stuff'.Used with TaoTronics, SkullCandy, Metro and Sony (both WH-CHxx and MBR-XBxx variants) headphones. All work without issues and breaks. The thing works. No issues running on Win10, which is amazing for the Metro pair as they were bought as a joke. I mean BT headphones for under a tenner? Still works with this device. Now, anyone wanna by a collection of hardly used Bluetooth adapte.....

NOT Long Range
Very disappointing the range is only one meter greater than my existing ie 23 feet. It does appear as a Bluetooth 5.0 Adapter not 5.1 but we are warned about this before purchasing. I found it impossible to upgrade drivers to 5.1 (& I'm an IT technician). If you want a normal 5.0 adapter then it works fine but its certainly NOT long range.

So far so good.
Installed the Realtek cd driver, inserted the device, rebooted and good to. The range reaches to the bottom of my garden (compared to the old stubby device that cut off in the toilet). Sorted! Hope it lasts.

Works with Home Assistant - range did not improve
I ordered this long range bluetooth adapter to help my home assistant connect with my Victron MPPT controller which is located in a different room to my server. The dongle was recognised immediately via my server and my virtual machine running home assistant - zero configuration. However it did not improve my bluetooth signal at all and my old small 5.3 dongle did a better job.,
