Fun series with both adult and kid humor!
Introduced our Dog Man lover to Captain Underpants, and he loved it! I remember reading these books as a kid and it’s super cool to now pass Captain Underpants down to my boys to enjoy!

Instant Hit with My 8-Year-Old
My 8-year-old son was so excited to get this special edition of The Adventures of Captain Underpants! The day it arrived, he crawled right into bed and dove into the book—he was totally into it from page one. The mix of Captain Underpants and the bonus Dog Man comic made it even more fun for him. A great pick for young readers who love humor, superheroes, and a little mischief!

Love it
My first exposure to this book was while helping in an elementary school classroom. I was assigned to listen to kids read. One child brought this book over and I was very skeptical but I found that it made me laugh. My son at that time didn't enjoy reading. He would do it for homework but never picked up a book just for enjoyment. But I knew he would love this book. So I got a copy and left it sitting out in plain sight but not too obvious. In the next day or two I caught my son reading it. I was so thrilled to see him reading by choice instead of obligation. I've been a fan of the series ever since.I just bought this hardback copy to introduce to some kids I babysit. They are 6 & 4 years old. While there aren't that many words on each page, there are a lot of pages and I wasn't sure how long it would take us to get through it. How long would it hold their attention? I think we probably could have finished in one sitting if it were up to just the kids but my throat got too dry to keep reading so we did it in two sittings. They all loved it and thought it was funny, though I think some of the humor probably went over their heads. And it made me laugh too. Now I guess I'll have to get the next one in the series.

Don't let this one pass you by!
This is a great little story and one that is fantastic for children who find reading a challenge. The pictures, the short sentences, the comprehension factor are all in tune with the mind of a child. Great book! Highly recommend...and it is one that children themselves, often pick out to read...and then...they continue on in reading another book in the series.
