Buttons got their bounce back
Had my ps4 controller for almost 9 years and it got to the point some buttons were unresponsive. I've opened the controller up, cleaned it, inspected the old silicone, saw no tears, and at this point worried it was an electrical issue. Took a chance with this replacement part after watching a YouTube video and now it's good to go. Overall feels great, item came as described, arrived quickly, and easy to install.

Trigger pads are NOT for DualShock 4 (CHU-ZCT2)
I bought this pack to replace the R1/R2 conductive pad on a friend's DualShock 4 controller (CHU-ZCT2). The pad is larger than the factory one, and required trimming in order to be seated properly. After testing revealed the button having to be pressed all the way down to register, I examined the bottom of the pad and noticed the black button that makes contact with the ribbon trace is seated higher into the pad than it is on the factory pad (hence the reason for having to push all the way down to get it to register). Now I'm going to have to find a new pad somewhere else.I'm not sure why these were made like this. I have the newer model DualShock 4 controllers, so I can't comment on if these were made for the earlier model (CHU-ZCT1) or not. Check the label on the back of your controller first before ordering. If you have the CHU-ZCT2 like me, don't buy this.**EDIT--3/24/21**Ok, after some research I learned that this product listing is misleading. While these are infact conductive pads for a DualShock 4 controller, they are for a SPECIFIC TYPE of DualShock 4 controller. You have to look at the model # on your controller's motherboard before figuring out which pads you need (you can find this number on the front side of the board near the top--the side the joysticks are on). These pads in particular will work with JDM-001, JDM-011, and JDM-020 model boards. I believe these boards are found in the earlier model DualShock 4 controllers (CUH-ZCT1) from the console's launch. These WILL NOT work in the newer DualShock 4 controllers (CUH-ZCT2) produced from 2016 on because the model # of the boards are different: JDM-030, JDM-040, JDM-050, and JDM-055.I had to look at photos of the pads on AliExpress.com to figure out which ones were which. If you don't get the right one for your controller, you'll have issues. I STRONGLY advise everyone to use order listings on AliExpress.com to figure out which pads correspond to their controller. There are listings that show photos of each style of pads and which model # they correspond to. This way you can order the correct ones for your controller.I'm changing the star-rating for this review due to the fact that these particular pads SHOULD work on the right controller.

Worked great
I don’t know why other reviewers had problems with these silicon switches. Maybe they’ve been fixed? I don’t know. They feel almost exactly the same to me as the OG switches. Maybe the users got used to the mushy feeling as their old actuators wore down? I switched the R1/R2 and the circle/triangle/square/x face buttons on my OG day one controllers. These do NOT work on the newer controller versions. The shape is different if you got the newer controller version I’m sure. For me, they fit my old day-one controller perfectly though. The silicon portions look pretty near identical to originals, differing only slightly here and there, and fit perfectly for me. Just got them and put them in, and tried them with no problems. Took about ten minutes though the R1/R2 silicon was a bit tricky to place perfectly(have to align two silicon pegs into tiny holes and make sure lip sit fine, etc. I needed tweezers to do it properly). Also, tho I haven’t tried them for long, I don’t see why they wouldn’t last as long as originals since the silicon texture feels identical to me. I really don’t get what others mean by them feeling plastic-y. They feel exactly same rubbery silicon to me. The black contacts do look thinner than OG, however, and don’t have ridges like OG. Don’t know if that will be a problem and potentially make it feel different for some people, but I haven’t felt any difference myself. Maybe I’m too much a filthy casual to notice. Idk.

Fixed my sons controller, I’m a hero!
Got some “new” ps4 controllers that went downhill super soon after getting both. Have a feeling they were not legitimately new. Sigh.Anyway… the pads went out under the colored buttons. It was driving my son crazy because the buttons were not bouncing back up and were sticking because of it. Ordered this set of new pads and took apart his controller and replaced and TADA! Problem fixed. Controller is like new. Finally. Haha. Plan to order more to fix my daughters controller. I simply watched someYT videos on disassembling a controller and it was rather easy. I’m just a not-gamer stay at home mom who loves to tinker with things. If I can do this, you can! Will save us $120-some for not having to order new controllers for kiddos.

Make sure you check what controller you have.
I bought this product thinking it would fit my controller for the l1 and l2. I needed l1 replaced. It did not fit, so I had to cut some of the silicone off. I also had to use a different controller's silicone part for the trigger (l2).I managed to get it to work, but take a lesson from me, and check to see if this silicone goes to your generation of controller.
