Let's Learn Vietnamese Kit: A Complete Language Learning Kit for Kids (64 Flash Cards, Audio CD, Games & Songs, Learning Guide and Wall Chart)

My 5yo daughter has been asking to learn more tieng viet, but was getting bored of the dictionary-type picture books we have.These are a great transition and different in some key ways. I love how the the flashcards show the pronunciations (my 5 yo knows how to read a little bit in English, so this is now a big help); includes not just nouns but pronouns and some verbs; and has suggestions for utilizing the words in simple sentences.The guidebook on how to use the materials has also been really encouraging. I've started speaking more tieng viet around my toddler and preschooler. As a Vietnamese-American millennial that grew up with Tieng Viet as a second language, but am probably stuck at a 7-yo vocabulary level (according to my cousins in Vietnam), I haven't always felt confident in trying to teach my kids Tieng Viet and having something structured helps a lot.Suggestions for future editions:1) If the guidebook could include help on how to incorporate commonly found Vietnamese cartoons from YouTube (Heo Peppa Tieng Viet!) into lesson plans/learning, that would be even better.2) A Level 2, 3, etc. kit once my daughter out-grows the first kit would also be great! Supposedly, 80% of language usually centers around the 1,000 most commonly used words, so once you master those you have a very solid foundation.

The flash cards and wall chart are nice - but I specifically and only bought the product for the Audio CD as advertised, so I could listen to it in the car. CD is NOT included in the box, and the box says there is an online audio to listen to

The flashcards are great. I didn’t try the cd yet, I’ll have to post an update when I get to that.

A very good way to learn Vietnamese. Love it

The songs on the CD is horrendous -- the singing is off-key/doesn't match with the instrumentation, the volume of is inconsistent from track to track. I'm embarassed for the people who made the recordings. I find the poster useful for teaching my kids some simple words, so I'll keep it since there aren't any other products like this on the market.

wanted to learn vietnamese but I need to hear it. Thought I would be able to print flash cards and download audio but can not so this is a waste for me.

This kit is good for all ages. The poster is very useful because it gives the exposure to the most common words with a visual impact. The flashcards are good quality plastic to flip it back and forth. The back of each flashcard comes with sample sentences on how to apply the vocabulary within a given context.

Love the chart and card the cd wasnt so great I thought thered be some animation and play on its own but it didnt
