Very good tool to teach your kids to protect themselves and act responsibly on the internet.
My 9 year old daughter loved it, it has pictures and colors, the story provides a very good graphic description of the technology tail, how everything you do on internet can become a gift, a scar or a big hole that you can never repair and all the consequences (good and bad, depending on the type of marks you carry on your tail) that will bring to your future life. As a parent I believe there is no better way to protect your children than by educating and teaching them how to protect themselves, this books is a worthy investment towards that.

Another great Julia Cook book
It's hard to go wrong with a Julia Cook book for the many school and social issues children face. Entertaining, informative and frequently hilarious without being preachy. Great book for children
I’ve been reading this book to my Third graders during my guidance lessons on Digital Citizenship. They are loving the story! Makes it easy for them to understand why it’s important to be safe and kind online. Love Julia Cook books!!!

Easy to read and to the point.
My 10 year old I think got a lesson :) easy to read, fun, bright pictures.

Guidance on posting online not presented effectively
Lot of good information and guidance on being nice to others while online, but this book has too many lessons crammed into each page. The pictures are likely to be most appreciated by younger kids, but the guidance is for the older grades, so there's some disharmony here. I think most kids will quickly realize this is basically a lesson, or rather, many lessons, and they will lose interest. Not an effective tool for parents or teachers.

Fun to read to kids and helps them to see why they should avoid putting certain kinds of information on the internet. Kids actually enjoy the book. I work with kids and find it appropriate for any child who is on social media in any way.

For older kids (>7 years old)
I have read this book to my 4 year olds, but I paraphrase most to explain in simpler terms. This book will be a great tool for when my kids begin to show more interest in "the digital world".

Think First Before You Continue
Julia Cook's whole set of books have been great for shared reading time with our 10 year old grandson. Lots of good lessons, ideas to try, pitfalls to avoid, etc. that get him thinking about each subject.

Long book but covers the basics and goes into how it is traced back to you and stays forever ! Also dwells into effects of cyber bully a little - a more complicated read for my 7 yo but great

The Technology Tail
I received the book and the front of the book was curled and creased. There was an offer to return the book but because I needed the book and would not be able to get a replacement in time I have kept it but am not happy with the quality.
