Chamberlain 7708CB-P Chain Drive Rail Extension Kit for 8 Foot High Garage Doors

Easy addon if your garage is an 8 FOOT GARAGE. Parts inside this box fit perfect to the parts in the garage door box. It is a SHAME that I had to throw away the chain that came with the garage door opener. Seems like a waste. Not a friendly green option. CHAMBERLAIN should have a free return option and maybe even a small credit. No where is it obvious that you need this kit if you garage is an 8 foot garage door. Stumbled onto it when reading the comments from previous Amazonians who purchased the garage door itself.

I have to wonder why the company does not sell a 7 ft. model and an 8 ft. model. Lots of extra parts were purchased just to get the extension. Anyone need a brand new in the box chain for a seven-foot door? Just a waste of resources.

The extension worked as needed. Easy to install and include the longer chain needed. This was available on Amazon when the same item was on back order at Lowes

I bought this in hopes it would work with my Craftsman 1/2 hp Model: 54985 . Turns out it fit fine. It was the exact same tube and chain type. I used it for a custom vertical mount to open roll up doors. Worked great. Going to order a second because its so inexpensive, to have as a spare chain.

Everything I needed was included and I had no problem installing it. I gave this 3 stars only because it seemed a little pricey, and I wander if a little more thought could be given to finding a way to extend the chain drive included in the original opener package rather than disposing of it entirely by including a completely new chain drive.

I called Chamberlain to ask about a replacement when my previous Lift Master/Chamberlain garage door opener failed after 20 years of service. They recommended this opener rather than a cheaper model that, on paper, should have worked. Chamberlain's customer service was excellent, by the way. This opener went up and worked like a champ first time with only one change to my existing mount points. I had to purchase a length extension because the length of the opener out of the box was too short, even though I was pretty careful to measure everything and compare to what the manufacturer's specs indicated were necessary. After I got the extension added to the opener, which was almost too easy, I moved my mounting point back about three inches from the previous location. I am very well satisfied with this product.

Me sorprendió la calidad de los materiales, me ahorre una buena lana comprándolo por aquí, su funcionamiento es silencioso, se puede manejar desde el celular, lo puse en un portón corredizo de madera con metal de casi 4 mts tenia temor de que se forzara el motor por lo pesado pero no, de echo en la aplicación del cel te informa si se esta forzando o no y hace un análisis de su funcionamiento.

I followed the installation instructions, everything fit and worked perfectly. Don’t forget to bend the stop tab up before assembly.

Bought a chamberlain garage door opener but required the extension for our larger door. Works perfectly. Easy to install!

Lo compré para poder instalar un motor Chamberlain C2405 en un portón abatible de 5 metros, ya que el motor solo trae 3 metros de riel y quedó funcionando perfecto.
