how do they handly wet enxiroments, Water Proof ???? can you hose off inside and outside ???

So I bought these for my dad, a hiker. You can hose them off indoors or outdoors, however they will fade in under 6 months from the water & sun. He also miss the lawn in them, & they’re no worse for the wear. I buy my dad a new pair every 10-12 months; this is a very sturdy shoe for an average outdoorsman.

Not by design, however they are wide enough to just try it. I wouldn’t recommend this approach though, as it can damage the shoes in the long run.
