ADE Advanced Optics RD3-006B Reflex Sight, Blue or Green Dot and Rail Mount

I bought this site to add to my pistol. Green sot optics are not readily available so i purchased this model. The green dot is sharp and easy to read and set up. The price was reasonable. So far ok with this purchase. I will give update to t his review after I use it awhile.

First of all, I'm new to firearms. Less than a year. Have plenty of military and LEO friends who provide a wide range of advice and experience. That said, all discouraged me from "cheap" or "inexpensive" optics, such as the ADE brand. I watched several videos, read several reviews on this particular model (RD3-006B) and the evals were mixed. Decided at the price point, it would be a fine experiment. Green is easier on my eyes, hence this model. Installed a DPP titanium rear sight dovetail adapter on a Glock 19 with the included Loctite blue on the screws. Installed the RD3-006B on it (I don't think I used Blue though...) Zeroed it with a bore sight laser at 7. Made sure the elevation and windage screws were tight. Took it to the range (only have indoor in the area that's affordable for me). After 100 rounds, it held zero. After the second hundred, it had moved up just a tiny bit, I almost could not tell. Still able to put shots where I wanted well within a 3" area. Another 100 rounds and the elevation change was more noticeable. Still had shots acceptably were I wanted. Re-zeroed and fired strong hand, less accurate, but still pretty close to where I wanted. Fired weak hand...let's just leave it at that....Finally, for fun, sent it down 25. I can't see that clearly at that distance...but put 7/10 on the paper. Less of those were even close to where I wanted, but that's NOT the fault of the sight of course (nerf aging). All in all, for me, I felt it performed well for what I paid. I should recheck if I used Blue when mounting it into the dovetail adapter as that could account for the slight elevation changes. Never needed to touch the windage adjustment during use. The dot is easy to see. The adjustable brightness levels make is easy to find a comfortable brightness. I don't like the power button on the front, but that's a personal preference. Point is, be honest with yourself about your expectations. If you buy this at $70-ish dollars expecting the quality and performance of a $200+ Holosun, Sig, or a "Brand Name X" , YOU WILL NOT GET IT. If you buy the RD3-006B understanding it's NOT "Brand X" and will NOT perform as "Brand X" but WILL get the job done with maybe an occasional need to re-zero (a tiny bit), you won't be disappointed. In a year, with more experience, my view may change. However, with my limited experience with firearms NOW, it's a good buy in my opinion and I'm keeping it.

This Optic was a direct mount on a Doctor cut PSA Dagger Compact. After direct mounting the site using the rubber dampener then the optic on top, laser sighting it in and locking down the windage and elevation screws I'm happy to report 200 rounds later of 124 grn 9mm grind hard ammo the site works perfect. Never lost zero or malfunctioned, and It does co-witness with iron sites. Very surprised for the price this thing even worked and the brightness levels are perfect. I highly suggest using the supplied rubber mount and be sure to tighten down the windage and elevation screws after sighting it in. Just ordered another one for my other PSA Dagger Compact Doctor cut build. Cheers.

I wanted a green dot optic with this footprint for a Ruger Mark IV on a particular mount. The Ruger Mark IV doesn't have a slide like a traditional automatic pistol, so I figured even if it was not up to par for those, how bad could it be on a non-moving slide firearm? Here's what I learned while wasting my time with this piece: 1. The dot is definitely not a 3MOA dot, more like a 5 or 6. There is only one acceptable brightness level. The first is too dim, and three and thereafter are way too bright. They bloom, if you know what I mean. 2. It randomly shuts off after a few rounds. What? where's the dot? Tried to get the thing back on and no dice. I'm at the range and am now swapping my upper with a Holosun attached to it. Now that optic has never given me problems, even after thousands of rounds. 3. You have to uninstall it, remove and reinsert the battery, reinstall it. Get out the threadlocker, here we go again. After reinstalling it, I could not get it back on. Let's try it again - finally have a dot. 4. Back at the range, fire a few rounds, and right back to where we started. A few other notes: This would be terrible as a carry optic. You'd have to have it on at all times. there is no wake feature. And imagine if it just wouldn't turn on? It's very difficult to acquire the reticle. There are no clicks when setting the elevation and windage. There are set screws that you must loosen to set those. Then retighten, and if you don't, be prepared to re-zero this thing. If I were you, I'd pass on this. The price and look were alluring, but don't be fooled.

It was easy to install onto the gun if you already had the correct pieces or know it'll fit (I got this for my G2C). It fits great, easy to install. Downside, it wouldn't zero perfectly. I could only get so close to the boresight laser that I don't know what I did wrong. Could be me. Major downside, the light does turn off on it's own. It makes a useless CC EDC if it does that. I checked on it when I'm out and noticed the light is off after making sure it's on. So as I said, if you're looking for fun/plinking or something, then this is a good affordable option. As others said, there's turned off after a couple of shots in.

Firstly, this optic appears to be of good build quality. The green dot is adjustable in brightness and clear looking down the sight. When attempting to mount this to my PSA Dagger Compact from 2024, I found the optic slightly too long for a direct mount. I’ve attached pictures showing my attempted mounting in the front and back. I still had the mounting cover plate provided by PSA from my original purchase. Using a slightly longer screw (pictured attached for reference), I simply reattached the factory plate, used the rubber gasket provided by ADE, then attached the optic and tightened everything down. The optic now sits flush and should be good to go. Taking it out next weekend for Father’s Day. Appears to be a great budget option for a hobbyist shooter or budget builder.

It does fit on a vortex venom base and you must use the screws that come with the vortex if you don’t have an optics cut on your pistol. So far it’s holding a zero. Other than that it mounts pretty good but the screw that come with it are short. No blemishes or anything like that and it comes with almost everything you need which is great. The only thing that sucks is the dot still looks pretty blurry but that’s only because I have astigmatism and no fault of the producer. Looks and feels great and I love the little dust cover

Fits the pistol perfectly! Easy setup and zeroing! Easy to see and aim! Remains zeroed when shooting! Rugged, I’ve dropped it, on purpose, and it is still perfectly zeroed!

This sight does excatly what i need of it and it was easy to install and easy to use
